What does Weird Pictos Do?

Alright, let's talk about the Weird Pictos in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. It's a little item you can snag during the Prologue, and it's pretty straightforward to get and use, though maybe not the most exciting reward. Think of it as a nice little early-game boost.

How to Get the Weird Pictos:

So, towards the end of the Prologue, after the Gommage, Gustave and the Expedition 33 crew are at a festival. This is your chance to earn festival tokens. You get these tokens by chatting with other expedition members and playing their mini-games. Don't stress about picking rewards; you can actually earn enough tokens to grab everything available.

There are three tokens in total. You start with one. The second one you'll get after you defeat Maelle in a Duel, which happens near the harbor. For the third token, you need to find Antoine and pick these specific answers during your chat: “67 years ago,” then “Expedition Zero,” and finally, “Abilities you internalise by using a Pictos in battle after enough times.”

Once you've got a token, head to the first tent on your left. Inside, you'll find Tom. Chat him up and trade your token for the Weird Pictos. If you happen to be missing a token, remember you can get one by dueling Maelle or by acing Antoine's quiz.

Where to Use the Weird Pictos:

Keep playing until you reach Act 1 and find yourself in the Gestral Village. Once you're there, make your way north until you spot the “Chief’s House.” Don't go inside just yet! Instead, turn your gaze west and look for the “Gestral Bazar” sign. Head over there.

Go into the bazaar and find the merchant, Jujubree, who's the first Gestral you'll see on your left. Take a look at what she's selling. After you're done browsing and are about to leave, Jujubree will mention she found a similar Pictos recently. She'll then give it to you, which converts your Weird Pictos into Augmented Aim. If you already had Augmented Aim, this will just upgrade it to level 5 for you.

And that's pretty much it for the Weird Pictos. It's not a game-changer, but it's a solid way to get a decent Pictos upgrade early on, so it's definitely worth the small effort.
