Hey there! So, you've been finding weapons out in the world, right? Most of the time, they're pretty much on par with where you are in the game, which is super convenient. But as you push further into Expedition 33, you'll start finding higher-level gear. Sometimes, weapons might randomly get a little stronger just by being around new enemies, even if they're not equipped. It's kind of a lottery, though, and you can't really force it. If a weapon doesn't get a boost within the first few fights in a new zone, it's probably not going to. You could keep hoping for that random upgrade, but if you're really feeling underpowered, there's a more reliable way to boost your damage.

To get serious about upgrading, you'll need to clear the Flying Waters dungeon first. Once that's done, a friendly NPC called the Curator will set up shop in a cave at your camp. Just head over to him and select the [Upgrade Weapons] option. From there, you can choose which weapons you want to improve. Naturally, this service isn't free; you'll need specific resources, and the cost depends on the weapon's current level.
