Crysis 2 Part 14 walkthrough: Neutralize hostiles, find the Dog Tag, and escape Cell troopers. Learn about Nanoweed and Nano Catalyst.
Walkthrough
- 1Proceed to the roof and cross the yellow crane to the opposite structure.
- 2Jump down to the area beneath the bridge.
- 3Keep the bridge support column on your left and move around the cargo container.
- 4Neutralize the five hostiles ahead, who may be on the terrace above, using the DSG-1 or HMG.
- 5Once the upper balcony is clear, melee the padlock to access the building.
- 6Move through the hallways; Gould will send the elevator down.
- 7Follow Gould to a suit analyzer.
- 8After Gould recognizes you are not Prophet, he pulls a pistol but understands after viewing the suit’s historical data files.
- 9Follow Gould into the next room and take the “Dog Tag” from the bookshelf.
- 10Gould explains the self-repairing “Nanoweed” used for the Nanosuit and speculates its purpose as a vaccine for alien spores.
- 11When Cell troopers arrive, Gould heads for the fire escape; stop the Cell troopers so he can escape.
Tactical Options:
- Stealth: Use the elevator's shelter to eliminate Cell intruders.
- Stealth Kill: Advance to stealthily eliminate the Cell.
Walkthrough
- 1Select “Stealth” if needed to locate the elevator.
- 2Step out while cloaked and snipe Cell troopers as they appear in or near the doorway using the DSG-1.
- 3Retrieve the HMG if you brought it along; it remains available after the suit scan.
- 4Use grenades to aid your efforts.
- 5Advance to finish off hostiles in the side rooms.
- 6As you near the waypoint (a marker on your map you've manually placed as a destination), a Cell trooper will swing in through a window, triggering a cutscene (a non-interactive cinematic the game plays automatically) that ends the Chapter.
Chapter 6: Gate Keepers
Walkthrough
- 1Move along the rooftops, leaping over walls and past residents.
- 2Use the ammo crate to re-supply and jump over the narrow alley to the next rooftop.
- 3Vault over the crumbling brick wall and continue ahead, keeping the brick wall on your right.
- 4Make your way to a roof with two large water tanks on your right.
- 5Go down where the brick wall is crumbled, dropping to the small roof below and again to the one below.
- 6Jump where the bricks are crumbled to the roof below, go down the stairwell, and you will see a window washer’s stage alongside.
- 7Enable armor mode and step onto the staging; it plummets to near ground level.
- 8Jump to the ground and turn left, then left again into the narrow alley.
- 9Find a set of “Car Keys” lying on the metal stoop on the right side.
- 10Exit the alley and move straight ahead toward the brown jack-knifed truck.
- 11The waypoint is around the corner where a Cephalopod-Cell skirmish is taking place.
- 12Use the cloak to grab the Catalyst of the Ceph flattened by the arriving APC.
- 13Return to the jack-knifed truck and take down the Ceph with the un-silenced DSG-1, watching for them on upper levels.
- 14If a Ceph is lured by the noise, use the Marshall.
- 15Advance to gather the Nano Catalyst; it will not stay for long.
- 16The updating of the objective signals the demise of the Ceph.
- 17With 1,200 Nano Catalyst in stock, purchase the “Covert Ops” suit upgrade for 1,000 Catalyst. This upgrade allows stealthy movement quietly without crouching.
- 18If you are short of Catalyst, make the purchase when you can.
- 19Silence the DSG-1 and either stay near the truck or use the elevated walkways on the building on the left side of the avenue to take down hunting Cell troopers.
- 20Enable Nanovision to help pinpoint them.
- 21Make your way into the loading dock on the left side of the battle area.
- 22Replenish your ammo and energy and jump onto the rear platform.
- 23Use the narrow corridor to get closer to the guard post.
- 24Snipe any surviving Cell guards, including the turret gunner atop the APC if you did not get him before.
- 25Infiltrate the Cell facility by passing through the building opposite your position in the narrow hallway.
- 26If you do not have one, acquire a Stealth Marshall and keep the DSG-1.
- 27Cloak and angle across the street into the corner entry of the building with “LR” above its ornate entrance.
- 28If Cells troopers are in the lobby, toss a grenade to remedy the problem.
- 29Next door in the “NY Deli,” find two C4 charges and additional ammo.
- 30Enter and go up the stairs through the lobby into the rear storage room.
- 31Create a diversion by detonating two C.E.L.L. ammo caches.
- 32Jump down and move through the large hostile-free courtyard.
- 33Go up the short stairwell on the left side, then up the long stairwell and onto the long rooftop terrace.
- 34Use the silenced DSG-1 to get a silent headshot (a shot that lands on the enemy's head, usually an instant kill) on the Cell lookout on the overlook ahead.
