Make your way toward the distant waypoint (a marker on your map you've manually placed as a destination), staying near the left overhang by moving along the cobblestone walk.

Continue forward to the food service shack and grab the “Car Key” from inside the front of the nearby bus.

Stay along the left cliff moving up the fractured sloping rocks and staying on the narrow ledge.

Take out the three patrolling Ceph ahead using the X-43 Mike, saving M20 14 Gauss rounds. Hit explosive barrels if possible for stealth kills.

Jump onto the yellow cargo containers. Tactical options include: Ambush (stay high, use JAW), Use Turret (commandeer HMG on wrecked APC), or Flank (avoid Ceph near crater by walking the support tentacle).

Alternatively, use stealth to avoid combat. Use the “Flank” option to reach the waterfall, carefully cross the crater, and go up the hill on the left.

Grab the two blocks of C4 and three JAW rockets, and take any needed ammo.

Stay on high ground to deal with Ceph below. Use the M20 14 Gauss Sniper Rifle to kill Ceph, prioritizing Advanced Assault Units.

Trade the M20 14 Gauss for the Ranged Grendel in the cargo container.

A Devastator will appear; be aware of approaching Ceph and use the X-43. This sniping tactic forfeits Catalyst but is manageable if you have 16,000 or the “Cloak Tracker” upgrade.

Use your three JAW rockets to destroy the first Devastator. A second will arrive.

Jump down to the “Use Turret” position, grab the HMG, and deal with remaining Ceph and the second Devastator using the HMG and C4 charges, utilizing abundant cover (press the cover button to crouch behind walls or objects).

Collect the Catalyst, then select “Flank” to walk an alien tentacle over an abyss, or walk along the left margin to the waterfall.

Deal with roving Ceph, using the HMG if available.

To reach the waypoint, cross or skirt the crater. Ammo crates are in the amphitheater across the crater.

As you climb the stairwell, a pair of Ceph, including an Advanced Unit, will emerge. Duck into a recess on the left to let them pass while cloaked.

Go up the stairs and curl left up the hill.

On your right, shoot the red barrel in the dark-colored cargo container with its doors ajar. Enter to find an X-43 Mike and the last “New York Souvenir.” Take its ammo if you still have the X-43.

Continue up the hill toward the flags. Grab JAW rockets and move down the stairwell to the ammo cache. Keep the X-43 Mike and Grendel. Take C4 and ammo.

Beyond a corpse and ammo crate, take the “Dog Tag” lying against the left wall.

You are now tasked with sabotaging the veins. Tactical options include: Stealth (use drainage pipe to east vein) or Flank (skirt stronghold using ravine to west vein).

Select “Stealth” for the vein on the right. Battling Ceph near the underpass is optional but provides Catalyst and munitions like C4, JAW rockets, DSG-1, and two HMGs. Try to leave the upper HMG for later.

To deal with the Devastator near the underpass: cloak, walk to the gun mount, detach the HMG, and place it near the mattress where you found the “Dog Tag.”

Walk behind the Devastator, toss two C4 charges, back off, and detonate. This may also damage nearby Advanced Ceph.

Quickly reclaim the HMG and Catalyst. An Advanced Ceph will join; engage it with the HMG.

Hold your ground in the underpass against the responding Ceph, retreating if necessary.

With the Ceph dead, go up to the overlook. Note the HMG mount and survey the area. Waypoints for the first two veins are on either flank, and the third will appear at the raised fountain.
