Navigate the Ceph-infested City Hall area in Crysis 2 Part 18. Use stealth and sniping to gather Nano Catalyst, purchase the Mobility Enhance upgrade, and prepare for new tactical options.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Enter the “Evacuation Post C1” portal and sneak past any roaming Ceph.
  2. 2
Turn left and proceed along the stairwell towards the waypoint, aiming for the City Hall building.
  3. 3
Use the lengthy stairwell as a sniping post. Target Ceph on elevated platforms with the unsilenced DSG-1.
  4. 4
If necessary, re-enter the area to draw attention. Concentrate fire on revealed Ceph.
  5. 5
Use cloak to grab Catalyst and return to your sniper’s post.
  6. 6
Once Ceph ranks are thinned, make your way to the top of the elevated platform via the north ramp.
  7. 7
Locate remaining aliens with Nanovision and snipe them with the DSG-1.
  8. 8
Grab the HMG from its mount.
  9. 9
Return to your sniper’s post, go through the hole into the corridors, listen to the “conspiracy” talk, and re-supply.
  10. 10
    Move into the storm outside.
  11. 11
Purchase the “Mobility Enhance” upgrade for 600 Nano Catalyst. This enhances jumping and lessens energy drain from jumping and sprinting.
  12. 12
At the “Observe” position, note the metal stairwell ahead. Select “Flank” and make your way to the metal stairway, staying near the left cliff face.
  13. 13
Take the metal stairwell to the top, jump the gap, and grab the “Car Key.”
  14. 14
Stay on high ground and move south toward the drop off. Use the projection near the cliff face to jump down to the “Flank” ledge.
  15. 15
With a full energy meter and while cloaked, jump, activate armor before hitting the ground, reactivate cloak, and get behind the nearby barrier. Crouch to recharge if needed.
  16. 16
Move forward and take cover behind the alien support tentacle at the far end of the ledge. Stay cloaked as much as possible.
  17. 17
Kill the six Ceph prowling this area from both ends of the tentacle using the HMG. Cloak and grab Catalyst when possible. If you don’t have the HMG, use the DSG-1 from cover, dashing out while cloaked to gather Catalyst. Switch to the Marshall if they get close.
  18. 18
When the area is clear, continue toward the objective, staying cloaked and moving on the ledges along the left perimeter of the park area.
  19. 19
Try to bypass any Ceph encountered. Open up with the HMG only if contact is unavoidable.
  20. 20
Clear the park area systematically from the far side using cover and the HMG. Cloak and gather Catalyst. If using the DSG-1, cloak after each shot and gather Catalyst.
  21. 21
Continue through the partially flooded area toward the waypoint. Go up the steep incline and re-supply at the shack. Grab the two C4 charges if needed.
  22. 22
Around the corner, engage the regular Ceph with the HMG or DSG-1 from the entry corner.
  23. 23
The Devastator is optional; you can sneak past it. If engaging, equip the HMG, enter the area, kill all regular Ceph, and grab Catalyst. Use cover between yourself and the Devastator.
Tips
  • You can get the “Speeding Ticket” achievement on the incline going out of the park toward the supply shack. Sprint past the camera on the light post above the 25 MPH sign.
  • It is possible to negotiate the park area using stealth alone, but it requires patience and well-chosen recharge spots. This walkthrough advises a combination of stealth and gunplay to build Nano Catalyst for upgrades.
  • If you don’t have the HMG, use the DSG-1, cloaking after each shot and gathering Catalyst when you can. If using the DSG-1, you may run out of ammo before clearing the area.
  • The Devastator has a directed energy attack and a powerful rocket-like attack with a deadly fireball.
  • Mobility Enhance Upgrade
  • “Speeding Ticket” Achievement (optional)
