Navigate the treacherous Realm of Piercing Winds in Death Howl with our comprehensive walkthrough. Discover secrets, complete side quests like Reap or Weep, and prepare for boss fights.

Welcome to the second part of our walkthrough for Death Howl. After defeating Cantharsis, the Great Spirit, Ro must venture into the Realm of Piercing Winds to continue her quest.

This realm is divided into three zones: The Breathing Chasm, The Hidden Vale, and The Glacial Maw. You can enter through The Breathing Chasm or The Hidden Vale, both accessible from The Meadows of Delusions.

This walkthrough will guide you through The Breathing Chasm first. Remember to save up Death Howl for card unlocks and Teardrop upgrades.

The Breathing Chasm

Unlocking the First Sacred Grove and Map

Activate the first Sacred Grove in the region, located to the northeast, to reveal the map. Along the way, you can find crafting materials in a cave by clicking on a rock.

How to Complete the Reap or Weep Side Quest

Northeast of the first Sacred Grove, you'll encounter a creature who asks you to retrieve his lost eyes. This initiates the Reap or Weep side quest. The eyes are in a hidden cave near the northwestern Sacred Grove. You'll need to defeat two Elder Spirits and can find the Bear Skull Totem along the way. After speaking with a Moose spirit for a free Teardrop point, find the cave entrance next to the Moose. Inside, collect the Reaping Eye. Be prepared for an ambush upon exiting the cave. Return the eyes to the quest giver to receive the Opal Totem as a reward.

How to Complete the Two-Headed Spear Hidden Side Quest

To start this quest, find the inscription on a rock near the third Sacred Grove in the southwest. You need to find two Spear Head quest cards. The first is near the nest at the zone's entrance, and the second is below the northwestern Sacred Grove. During any battle, use one Spear Head, then combine it with the other to form the Two-Headed Spear. After the battle, return to the inscribed rock to open a cave. Defeat the Elder Spirit encounter inside to receive three Teardrop upgrade points.

The Hidden Vale

Unlocking the First Sacred Grove and Map

Enter The Hidden Vale from the Sacred Grove in the southwest of The Breathing Chasm. Follow the lower path, defeating Spirits. Avoid the Elder Spirit encounter and proceed north to another Spirit encounter. Beyond this, you'll find the Sacred Grove and the map for this zone.

How to Complete The Laughing Face of Death Side Quest

After resting at the Sacred Grove, a Spirit will jump off a cliff. Rest again, talk to the Spirit when it revives, and it will jump again. Rest a third time to exhaust its dialogues.
