• Barrett is heavily armored but vulnerable to explosives.
• He's a large target, making him easy to hit with thrown objects or gunfire.

Phases:

1. Opening Salvo: As soon as the fight starts, Barrett will open fire. Your immediate priority is to get into cover.
2. Stagger and Damage: Use explosives to stun him, then close in for damage.
3. Sustained Combat: If he's still up, trade shots and use the environment for cover.

Strategy:

• Gear Up First: Before you even think about engaging Barrett, check the alcove to your left. You'll find guns, ammo, and grenades there. If you're running low, the opposite corner of the room also has some supplies. Your best bet for ammo, though, are the explosive barrels scattered around the arena – you can pick these up and throw them.
• Initial Cover is Key: The moment the fight begins, take cover immediately. Barrett doesn't waste time and will start blasting your position right away.
• Explosive Introduction: If you've got frag, gas, or EMP grenades or mines, lob one at Barrett's feet. This will cause a staggering explosion. If you don't have any explosives handy, you'll need to make a quick dash to the ammo alcove on the left.
• Close-Quarters Assault: Once Barrett is stunned from the explosive, rush him and unload your bullets into his face. Don't get greedy, though! After a short burst, dash away.
• Barrel Barrage: Immediately after backing off, grab one of the explosive barrels nearby. Spin around and hurl it directly at Barrett's face. This deals massive damage.
• Trading Fire: This barrel blast usually won't stun him, but he'll often go on a grenade spree. Your options now are to either grab another explosive barrel or circle around him, unloading lead into his face while simultaneously moving to a good cover position.
