Learn the best strategy to defeat Yelena in Deus Ex: Human Revolution. This guide covers her attacks, weaknesses, and how to use EMP mines and generators to your advantage.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Yelena can be stunned by EMP mines and grenades.
• The room's blue generators can stun her when smashed while she's nearby.
• EMP shielding significantly aids in this fight.

Phases:

1. Initial Approach: As the fight begins, run left to avoid Yelena's initial attack. Ignore the first locker and pass the exit door to loot the second locker for EMP mines and ammo.
2. Setting Traps: Deploy two EMP mines, noting their positions. Wait for Eliza to announce Yelena's imminent attack.
3. Reacting to Yelena: If Yelena is about to stun herself (indicated by Eliza's alert and radar), wait for the stun and then attack. If not, land a few shots and then retreat. You can also try to run past her to avoid explosives.
4. Counter-Attacking: When Yelena attacks, turn around, fire a few shots, and repeat. Use EMP mines and grenades whenever possible to stun her for easy damage.
5. Generator Takedown (with EMP Shielding): If you have EMP shielding, position yourself near one of the room's glowing blue generators. When Yelena is close, smash the generator with your weapons to stun her. Immediately unload your current magazine into her.

Strategy:

• Always keep moving and utilize the room's layout for cover.
• Listen carefully to Eliza's audio cues, as they signal Yelena's attack patterns.
• Conserve your ammo until you have a clear opening or have stunned her.
• If you're struggling, consider reloading an earlier save to acquire EMP shielding or more EMP mines.
• The lockers around the room contain useful items like Typhoon ammo, Revolver shots, and EMP mines, so loot them strategically.
