Walkthrough for Deus Ex: Human Revolution's 'Following the clues in Highland Park' mission. Find objectives, items, XP, and explore multiple paths.
Walkthrough
- 1In the first courtyard, speak to the MCB Leader. They offer the following items for sale: Target Leading System (1500 C), Grenade Pack (400 C), Tranq Rifle Ammo x5 (250 C), Shotgun Ammo x8 (280 C), Crossbow Ammo x5 (175 C). The Target Leading System is recommended for tranquilizer weapons, and the Grenade Pack (especially the EMP grenade) may be useful soon.
- 2Proceed through the building until a cutscene triggers, revealing the mercs you are looking for (750 XP). You can find 55 Credits on a nearby box.
- 3Continue outside and wait for the mercs to finish their conversation before proceeding.
- 4In the Highland Park Courtyard, sneak around the left wall, using the large container for cover. Take out the nearby guard from behind when others are not looking. Inside the container, find a Stun Gun Dart and 100 Credits.
- 5Move to the truck on the other side of the field and hide behind its back. Take down the merc as they turn away. A pack of Combat Rifle Ammo x5 is to your left, requiring you to move two heavy crates first. If unable to move the crates, you can still access the ammo by heading around the corner and taking out the guard there.
- 6A Concussion Grenade and Combat Ammo x4 are on a nearby crate. Head behind the large containers to find a closed-off area (Level 3 security, 75 XP). If you have Zeke's code, use 7984. Inside, find Shotgun Shells x3, a Frag Grenade, and a Shotgun. A ladder leads to the building's roof. A nearby door leads into the same building at ground level.
- 7Backtrack to the starting building and move underneath the truck. Inside the truck, you can find a Stun Gun and a Stun Gun Dart.
- 8Hide behind crates and take out the nearby guard, dragging their body into the shadows. Hug the wall and continue until you need to move a container to pass. Beyond these containers is an area with electric current running through the watery surface.
- 9Check the nearby cabin for a Pocket Secretary, 75 Credits, Combat Rifle Ammo x3, and a Laser Targeting System. It is advisable to take out the nearby guard and the other guard patrolling the container area.
- 10Use boxes to create a bridge over the electrified water, or use the breaker box halfway through to turn off the current. The reward for navigating this area is Painkillers and 200 Credits. Look for Revolver Ammo x3 and Combat Rifle Ammo x5 on a crate near large metal crates. This corner marks Path #3 into the next area.
- 11Path #1 (Ground Level Facility): Return to the ladder or ground-level door. On the roof, proceed through the hall and up small steps to an overview area. A sniper can be spotted in the distance. Check the crate on your right for 50 Credits. The door leads to the main infiltration area. It is beneficial to take out the sniper by crouching towards them.
- 12This position is similar to where Path #2 ends, but with more guards already taken out. Use the sniping position to take out other guards, or opt for melee takedowns.
- 13You will have passed a vent system on your way to the sniper. Entering the vent system yields Traveler (100 XP) and connects to your destination if you head all the way down. The vent shaft on the intermediate level connects to a storage depot on the ground floor with Revolver Ammo x3 and Sniper Rifle Ammo x3. Your destination, an elevator to the lower facility levels, is on the lowest floor of the current area.
- 14Path #2: Going through the door leads into a garage-like environment. Stairs connect to Path #1. Find Combat Rifle Ammo x3 on a crate. Instead of going upstairs, proceed through the door into an office. Inside, find a Cyberboost ProEnergy Bar and Tranq Darts x2. A Level 3 PC requires the login spaxxor/neuralhub.
