The Mole Train

You start in a mine cart. Avoid pickaxes thrown by mole miners by jumping over or ducking under them. As your cart catches up to the train, you can jump onto it. Mole miners will pop out of train cars, signaled by shaking bananas. Avoid the car they emerge from, then jump on the mole miner. Repeat this process ten times to clear the initial enemies. Then, stand on the car that is NOT shaking as four cars fall off. The process repeats with bombs added and at a faster pace. After clearing a second set of cars, the final phase begins with more pickaxes and dark tunnels. After clearing the third set of cars, you face Mole Miner Max. He will pop out of a car after shaking several. Jump on him when exposed. Four hits defeat him.

Jagged Jewels

Puzzle Pieces: 5

  1. At the beginning, deal with spikes emerging from the ground and ceiling. The first puzzle piece is inside the third vase you encounter. Ground-pound in front of it, jumping away if spikes appear.
  2. After a set of four spiked pillars, a round platform has a vase with a puzzle piece. Ground-pound in front of the vase.
  3. Ahead, jeweled spears emerge from the ground. The center spear has a puzzle piece at its tip. Roll-jump to grab it while the spear is retracted.
  4. With the next set of spears, the middle spear at the top of the screen conceals a puzzle piece. Roll-jump to grab it while the spear is retracted.
  5. Checkpoint reached. A stationary platform with a vase is available for rest.
  6. When entering a barrel cannon, a puzzle piece is above it. Fire to the next platform, then jump back to the barrel cannon to grab the piece before landing.
  7. Grab the pink orb to finish the stage.
