    Start by roll-jumping to the second totem pole on the right, then to the secret area above the helicopter plants. Roll-jump off this platform to the right, bouncing off squeeklies to reach a tiki goon.

    Wait for the chomp's projectiles to clear, then jump to the moving totem poles. Roll-jump forward one totem, wait, then time your roll-jump to land in front of a squeekly and roll through it. Jump and bounce on the second tiki goon to reach a checkpoint.

    Wait for the totem to rise, then jump through to the next platform. Roll-jump to the totem poles on the right, then make your way forward, landing on the small platform with a yellow bulb.

    To avoid damage, roll-jump to the second yellow bulb, skip the third, and go to the fourth. From there, jump to the fifth, then roll-jump to the totem on the right.

    Bounce off the top squeekly to reach another checkpoint. Quickly jump to the large totem and blow on its ear.

    From the first totem, roll-jump right, off a squeekly, and land on a moving totem pole. Roll-jump to the next one, then jump to the platform ahead.

    Get on a moving platform to the right, then immediately roll-jump off to the right. Bounce along the string of squeeklies, aiming for the secret area above the DK barrel. If you miss the top, only grab the DK barrel if necessary, as Diddy's jetpack wastes time.

    Whether on top or bottom, do a full bounce off the second tiki goon, then a short hop off the fourth. Roll-jump across the bopapodami, then ground-pound the DK platform to open the totem containing the exit barrel.

Longshot Launch (5-5)

  1. Grab the DK barrel and roll forward off the mushroom chomp to start the barrel cannon sequence. Hit every barrel on the first pass.
  2. After firing diagonally twice, fire immediately from the next barrel cannon. Correct slightly right after bouncing off the first flower to save time during the fall.
  3. Once on the platform, roll right to the next barrel cannon and fire immediately. Jump into the next barrel cannon, wait for it to reach the middle, and fire. After two more, fire immediately to launch back to a checkpoint. Aim to be here within 27.5 seconds for gold.
  4. In the next barrel cannon sequence, hit every barrel on the first pass. At the end, fire back into the foreground to hit another checkpoint. Aim to be here within 41 seconds for gold.
  5. Use the tiki boing to get onto the next platform, then roll to the next barrel cannon.
  6. Fire once, then wait for the totems to open. You can make the next two launches before the totems close, or time it to skip some blast barrels by being between the totems.
  7. Time the next barrel cannon pointing right, then wait for the totems to open. Hit the next two barrels before they close, then aim for the last one just before the teeth open. Jump to the exit barrel.
