Alright, so you've made it to the Golem boss fight in Dragon's Crown. This one's a bit different because you've got an ally helping you out! Don't get too comfortable though, because this fight is all about managing threats and keeping your buddy alive.

Stats / Weaknesses

• Ally Golem: You need to activate this guy. He's your main damage dealer against the enemy Golem.
• Enemy Golem: Huge, slow, and hits like a truck. Its main attack is a telegraphed sword swing.

Phases

1. Activation: The fight starts with your Ally Golem inert. You'll see two runes near it. Click on both runes, and then click the green activation rune. This gets your Ally Golem moving towards the enemy.
2. Defense: As your Ally Golem lumbers forward, enemies like demons, goblins (with bombs!), and hellhounds will spawn to attack it. Your primary role here is to intercept these smaller threats and prevent them from overwhelming your Ally Golem.
3. Golem Clash: Once your Ally Golem reaches the enemy Golem, they'll start fighting each other. This is where the bulk of the damage to the enemy Golem happens.
4. Sustained Defense: Even during the Golem clash, more demons, hellhounds, and goblins will continue to spawn. Keep clearing them out to ensure your Ally Golem survives the prolonged engagement.
5. Enemy Golem's Swing: The enemy Golem has a massive, slow sword swing. If you or your Ally Golem get too close to its front, it will unleash this attack. It has a long charge-up time, so it's very telegraphed. Getting hit by this will likely take out most, if not all, of your health.

Strategy

• Activate Your Ally: The very first thing you must do is click the two runes near your Ally Golem and then the green rune to activate it. If you don't, you're basically fighting the enemy Golem alone, which is a bad time.
• Prioritize Threats: Your Ally Golem is your main damage dealer. While it's walking to the enemy Golem and during the clash, smaller enemies will constantly spawn. Focus on killing these off quickly. Demons are particularly dangerous as they can deal significant damage. Goblins with bombs can also be a nuisance if they get close to your Ally Golem.
• Dodge the Big Swing: The enemy Golem's sword attack is devastating. Learn to recognize the wind-up animation and simply stay out of its frontal arc. If you're playing a melee character, you'll need to be extra careful about positioning. Ranged characters have an easier time avoiding this.
• Don't Get Greedy: Your main goal is to keep your Ally Golem alive and let it do its work. While you can chip away at the enemy Golem yourself, don't put yourself in unnecessary danger just to get a few extra hits in. Focus on clearing adds and dodging.
• Loot Management: Keep an eye out for treasure chests that spawn. There are several types, including Wooden, Red, and Box chests, which can contain valuable items or gold. Some might even contain runes needed for progression elsewhere.
• Preparation: Before heading into this area, it's highly recommended to visit Lucain's Tower and purchase all the available runes. While not strictly necessary for this specific fight, having them can be useful for other parts of the dungeon or future quests. The path to this boss often involves navigating through various sections with different enemy types like Wood Golems, Evil Wizards, Owlbears, and more, so ensure you're stocked up on potions and have a decent set of gear.
