Boss: Wraith

Alright, so you've made it to the Wraith! Don't let its spooky appearance fool you; this boss fight has a pretty neat trick to it. We'll get you through it.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Vulnerability: The Wraith takes significantly reduced damage until you light the first statue.
• Summons: It calls in Skeletons and Undeads that can grab you.
• Attacks: Swipe, Throw Scythe, Ice Bolts.
• Time Limit: You have about 5 statues to work with before the fight becomes too long.

Phases:

1. Initial Encounter: You'll enter a room, but the Wraith is protected. You need to destroy the wall to the right to proceed.
2. Lighting the Torches: Once through the wall, grab the torch. You'll need to kill the 3 Ghosts that appear so they don't harass you later. Then, use the torch to light the candle on the statue to your right. This makes the Wraith vulnerable.
3. Sustaining Vulnerability: The torch's flame will eventually run out. When it does, you need to grab the torch again and repeat the process with the next statue to the right. You'll have to do this for about 5 statues to defeat it.

Strategy:

• Positioning is Key: Always try to stay behind the Wraith. Its main swipe attack is telegraphed, and staying behind it is the safest bet.
• Watch for the Scythe: The Wraith throws its scythe like a boomerang. It's a slow attack, so just sidestep or dodge it.
• Ice Bolts: It also launches ice bolts. These are pretty easy to see coming and aren't very accurate, so don't stress too much about them.
• Dealing with Summons: The Skeletons and Undeads it summons can be a real pain, especially the Undeads that try to grab you. Try to take them out with area-of-effect attacks or collateral damage while you're focusing on the Wraith. Don't let them overwhelm you!
• Don't Run Out of Time: Keep an eye on the statues. If you run out of them before the Wraith is defeated, it might be time to consider escaping by heading right. You might get lucky and finish it off if its health is low, but don't count on it.
