You will find your new home in the Heroes' Guild, with a roommate named Whisper. Explore the bookcases to find a Kryndon Tattoo upstairs and a total of thirteen books. To read the books, access your inventory, select the Logbook submenu, scroll to books, and read them. Afterward, head outside and follow the gold icon on your Auto-Map (a map that shows your immediate surroundings) to locate the Melee Combat Ring. The Guild Master will be standing nearby.
The Guild Master will instruct you to enter and fight a dummy. Strike the dummy seven times, and he will give you a Stick to equip as a weapon. Continue hitting the dummy until the training session concludes. The Guild Master will then send you on your first Quest: to eliminate the Beetles in the Guild Woods.
