Need help with the Free Willis mission in Far Cry 4? Follow our step-by-step guide to take down snipers, protect Willis, and complete this critical campaign objective.
Alright, so you've got a mission called "Free Willis" to tackle. To get started, you'll need to head to the map marker labeled 'W'. This is where you'll meet up with a familiar face if you played Far Cry 3. Willis needs your help getting his plane down safely at the airport. Let's get going!
Once you arrive at the airport, Willis is going to tell you to take out a bunch of snipers. The catch? You've gotta be stealthy about it – no alarms allowed. There are six snipers in total: three on top of buildings, two in watchtowers, and one chilling on the hill at the back of the airport. On the ground, you'll find three guys near one of the buildings, including a commander marked with a yellow icon. Keep an eye out for a couple more enemies near the buildings and two more blocking a road entrance.
Warning: You absolutely cannot alert the commander. If you do, you'll fail the mission. Also, don't forget about that sniper on the hill!
If you've unlocked the 'Death From Below' skill, you can take out the snipers in the watchtowers without climbing them. For the snipers on the buildings, you'll find ladders to reach their positions. Remember, the commander is the key guy Willis is meeting with, so leave him be for now.
After you've dealt with all the snipers, make your way to the control tower and hang tight for more instructions. While you're waiting, grab the sniper rifle. You'll get a signal to start shooting during the meeting between Willis and the commander. Your first target should be the commander.
Willis's health bar will show up at the top of your screen, so if he goes down, you'll have to restart. The good news is, his health regenerates when he's not taking damage. Keep an eye on him and be ready to take out any more enemies that show up. Eventually, more enemies will come from near your building. Willis might move behind the middle building, which means you might need to leave your sniper perch and find a new vantage point on the ground or another high spot to keep up the sniping.
