Far Cry 4: Survive the Shanath Arena in The Mouth of Madness

Alright, so you've landed yourself in 'The Mouth of Madness' mission in Far Cry 4. This one kicks off when you visit a 'Y' symbol on your map to meet up with Yogi & Reggie at your parents' old house. Things get weird fast – they drug you, and you wake up smack dab in the middle of the Shanath Arena. Yep, you're a reluctant participant, and you'll have to fight your way out, starting with just a knife.

Walkthrough

You'll start with nothing but a knife. Your first priority is to take down one of the guys nearby to grab their gun. Don't waste time; get that weapon ASAP.

The first round throws Pagan's men and some wolves at you. The wolves are actually helpful here – let them distract the guards so you can get a Takedown and snag a weapon. Remember, you're starting with minimal ammo and no healing syringes, so every bullet counts.

As you take down enemies and wildlife, you'll start finding healing syringes. Try to keep the wolves focused on the guards; it makes your life much easier. When a round ends, quickly loot any ammo you can find and use any syringes you need.

Round two features more of Pagan's soldiers, including some with AK47s and one guy who likes to get up close and personal with melee attacks.

In the third round, you'll face more soldiers, one armed with a shotgun, and a leopard. The leopard can be a useful distraction, but watch out – it might decide you're the target.

Round four brings a tiger and more men. This can be pretty intense, but keep an eye out for those explosive barrels scattered around the arena; they're your best friend here.

The final round is the toughest, mainly because of the Heavy Gunner. Use the arena's environment to your advantage to take him down. Don't forget those explosive barrels!
