Walkthrough

    Head to the 2nd floor of the Pub in Karnak to talk to Cid.

    Mid will arrive and speak with Cid.
  3. 3
    Cid and Mid will depart to fix the Fire-Powered Ship, leaving you in the Pub.

    Exit Karnak and travel to the Fire-Powered Ship.

    Upon arrival, Cid will send you below deck to rest while they work.

    Galuf will have a flashback to his past with his granddaughter, Krile.

    Galuf will realize he is not from this world and arrived by warping through a meteorite. He remembers that Exdeath, who was sealed 30 years ago, is awakening and that shattering the Crystals is releasing him.

    You will return to the deck of the ship.

    Go below deck to find Mid and Cid.

    Talk to Cid to wake them up.

    Cid and Mid will reveal that the Fire-Powered Ship can now sail without wind or the Fire Crystal.

    Cid and Mid will leave for the Library of the Ancients, giving you the ship.

Open Ocean Encounters:

You can now sail almost everywhere. While sailing, you may encounter the following monsters:

  • Sahagin (Level 20, HP 550): Steals Potion, Drops Potion, Weak to Lightning, Blue Magic Goblin Punch*.
  • Thunder Anemone (Level 21, HP 600): Drops Lightning Scroll.
  • Sea Ibis (Level 19, HP 25): Steals Gold Needle, Drops Gold Needle, Weak to extit{none}.
  • Corbett (Level 29, HP 2800): Steals Trident, Drops Hi-Potion, Weak to Lightning.

*Control and use the spell on your Learner.

Tips
  • Sahagins and Thunder Anemones are most common in the central seas.
  • Sea Ibis are most common in the seas in the southeast corner of the map (around Crescent).
  • Corbetts are most common in the northeast and southwest corners of the map. Be cautious as they are heavy hitters and can defeat you if you are not careful.

Your next destination is Crescent, located in the southeastern corner of the map and identifiable by its crescent moon shape.
