Complete the Tower of Walse in Final Fantasy V. Get the Silk Robe, Maiden's Kiss, Silver Armlet, and Ether before the Water Crystal shatters.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
In the area surrounding the Tower of Walse, you will encounter Garula (Level 9, 500 HP). It is weak to Fire, Ice, Lightning, Earth, Water, Poison, Holy, and Wind. It can drop a Maiden's Kiss. You must defeat this passive Garula.
  2. 2
Enter the Tower of Walse. On the 1st floor, soldiers mention Garula attacked them. Examine the door to proceed to the 2nd floor.
  3. 3
Follow the path through the 2nd and 3rd floors to the 4th floor.
  4. 4
On the 4th floor, speak with King Walse. Enter the water to the left of the King and examine the vine-covered pillar to climb to the 5th floor.
  5. 5
On the 5th floor, open the first chest to find a Silk Robe. Drop back down to the 4th floor and take the stairs back up to the 5th floor. Find the save spot. To the right of the save spot, open the second chest for a Maiden's Kiss. Proceed to the next floor.
  6. 6
Continue following the path through the 6th and 7th floors.
  7. 7
On the 8th and 9th floors, you will find three vines. The middle vine leads to nothing. The left vine leads to a chest containing a Silver Armlet; retrieve it and drop back down. Climb the right vine to find another chest containing an Ether and the stairs to the next floor.
  8. 8
In the Crystal Room, an unknown knight is defeated by Garula. Before approaching, ensure you have completed all desired actions within the Tower, as it will become inaccessible after the upcoming boss battle.
  9. 9
Approach the knight and Garula. Garula will attack you. The boss Garula (Level 3, 1200 HP) is not particularly difficult. To make the fight easier, a White Mage can cast Silence, followed by a Blue Mage casting Pond's Chorus. This prevents Garula from casting Toad to cure itself, though Silence will wear off. A Knight with Two-Handed equipped deals significant damage. Monks also deal good damage and counterattack. If your White Mage has time, Protect can help, but healing will likely be a priority. Black Magic deals decent damage regardless of element. A Blue Mage can use Aero for more damage than Black Magic, or cast Flash to make Garula miss frequently. Other jobs should use their strongest attacks or heal with Potions. Garula can steal a Potion or Hi-Potion.
  10. 10
After defeating Garula, the Water Crystal shatters. The unknown knight reveals information about Lord Galuf before dying and mentions protecting the Fire Crystal.
  11. 11
Collect the shards to gain the Time Mage, Mystic Knight, Summoner, Berserker, and Red Mage jobs.
  12. 12
The Tower will begin to sink. A door will open; go through it as the 6th shard cannot be obtained. The peninsula will sink into the ocean. Syldra will rescue you, swallowing you whole and spitting you onto a beach before dying.
  13. 13
You will find yourself near your Wind Drake and the Walse Meteorite, your next destination.
Tips
  • If you obtained 2 or 3 Flame Rods from Ricard Mages and did not get Shiva earlier, these rods will make the Shiva boss battle easier.
  • Monsters in the Tower of Walse include Elf Toad (Level 13, 160 HP, weak to Ice, can drop a Potion, Blue Magic: Pond's Chorus), Ricard Mage (Level 10, 100 HP, can steal a Rod, can drop a Flame Rod), Wyvern (Level 14, 200 HP, can steal a Mythril Knife, can drop a Potion), and Pas de Seul (Level 14, 280 HP, weak to Lightning, can steal a Potion).
