Walkthrough

    Upon entering Guadosalam, scenes will play, followed by a tutorial on Customizing Equipment.

    Speak to Shelinda and Maechen in the Inn. A Save Sphere is also available here.

    Head to the mansion, grab two Hi-Potions from a hidden chest on the balcony.

    Talk to your party, then attempt to enter the door to trigger more scenes and advance the game.

    After the scenes, approach your party outside. You'll be tasked with heading to the Farplane.

    Go up the hill to the southwest. Take the Elixir from behind two Guados to the south.

    Follow the southernmost ramp to the east to reach the Farplane entrance.

    In the first corridor, look behind the pillar to the left for eight Lightning Marbles.

    Follow the path to the end and enter the Farplane.

    Approach Wakka. During the scene, the Brotherhood weapon will upgrade (Strength +5%, Strength +10%, Waterstrike, Sensor).

    Talk to Lulu, then Yuna.

    Approach your party in front of Seymour's house, then speak to your party.

    Chat with Lulu twice, then try to exit north to advance the game.

    Approach your party near Seymour's mansion for another scene.

    Before leaving Guadosalam, collect items: a Mega-Potion from a chest in front of Seymour's mansion.

    In the western house, find Al Bhed Primer XIII on the floor and 3,000 Gil in a chest at the back.

    Return to the Farplane to find a chest with the Venus Crest (called Mars Crest in Japanese/Switch versions).

    Approach Wantz and Lulu in the Farplane for scenes.
Tips
  • Lightning Marbles are useful for customizing Lightningproof onto Armors.
  • O'aka's shop is recommended over the main shops due to price gouging.
  • Skip the Double-Edge at O'aka's; Brotherhood already has Waterstrike, and Lightningstrike can be customized cheaply.
  • Consider buying the Blind Pass for Wakka and the Shimmering Blade for Auron from O'aka. The Fatal Cait Sith is also a good option if affordable.
  • O'aka's Armors all have Lightning Ward, which is very useful for the upcoming area. Buy one for Rikku. Tidus will get a better armor soon. Kimahri might already have Lightning Ward if you obtained the Kilika Destruction Sphere treasure. Decide on armors for others based on need, as enemies can drop them.
