Grenades are invaluable tactical tools for flushing out enemies, clearing cover, or dealing with groups. The standard Frag Grenade explodes after a short fuse, dealing area-of-effect damage. It can be cooked by holding the throw button, allowing for more precise timing. Frag grenades are excellent for clearing out entrenched Drones or forcing enemies out of cover. The Smoke Grenade creates a cloud of smoke, obscuring vision and temporarily stunning enemies caught within its radius. It's useful for flanking maneuvers, reviving downed teammates, or escaping dangerous situations. The Ink Grenade, a Locust weapon, creates a cloud of poisonous gas that damages and disorients enemies. It's particularly effective against enemies hiding behind cover. Always carry a full complement of grenades if possible. They can turn the tide of a difficult firefight, especially when used strategically to disrupt enemy formations or create openings for your squad.
