Welcome, COG soldier, to the final push! Act 5 is where you'll confront the Locust Queen and bring the fight directly to their doorstep. This act is intense, so ensure your weapons are reloaded and your wits are sharp. We'll guide you through each chapter, highlighting key strategies, collectible locations, and enemy encounters.

Chapter 1: Escape from the Hollow

This chapter begins immediately after the events of Act 4. You're in a dire situation, but salvation is at hand. Focus on survival and reaching the designated extraction point.

• Initial Encounter: As soon as the chapter starts, you'll be under heavy fire from a mix of Drones and Grenadiers. Take cover behind the broken pillars and prioritize the Grenadiers, as their explosives can quickly overwhelm your position.
• Advancing Through the Caverns: Push forward through the winding caverns. You'll encounter more Drones and the occasional Boomer. Utilize the plentiful cover and try to flank the Boomers when possible. A well-placed frag grenade can stun them, allowing for easy headshots.
• Collectible - COG Tag: After a significant firefight in a larger cavern area, look for a small alcove to your left before proceeding through a narrow passage. The COG Tag is on the ground next to some discarded Locust equipment.
• Reaching the Extraction Point: The final stretch of this chapter involves a desperate dash to the extraction point while fending off a relentless wave of Locust. Don't be afraid to use your Lancer's chainsaw for quick kills if enemies get too close.

Chapter 2: The Queen's Chamber

This is it, soldier. The heart of the Locust Hollow and your confrontation with the Locust Queen. Be prepared for a multi-stage boss battle.

• Approaching the Chamber: The path to the Queen's Chamber is guarded by elite Locust forces, including Theron Guards and Kantus. These enemies are tougher and more aggressive. Focus fire on the Kantus first to prevent them from reviving fallen comrades.
• Collectible - Locust Journal: Before entering the main chamber, check a small side room to the right of the large ornate doors. The Locust Journal is on a table amidst some strange artifacts.
• Boss Battle: Locust Queen Myrrah:
  1. Phase 1 - Defensive Stance: The Queen will initially be protected by a powerful shield and will summon waves of Locust Drones and Grenadiers. Your primary objective here is to eliminate the supporting Locust. Use cover effectively and conserve your heavy weapon ammo.
  2. Phase 2 - Weak Point Exposure: After clearing a few waves of her minions, the Queen's shield will temporarily drop, exposing glowing weak points on her body. Focus all your fire on these weak points. The Longshot or Torque Bow are excellent for this phase.
  3. Phase 3 - Aggressive Assault: As her health depletes, the Queen will become more aggressive, launching energy attacks and summoning larger, more dangerous enemies like Corpsers or Brumaks. Maintain distance, utilize environmental hazards if available, and continue to target her weak points during exposure windows.
  4. Final Blow: Once her health is critically low, a cinematic will trigger, leading to a quick-time event or a final, decisive attack opportunity. Follow the on-screen prompts or unleash your most powerful weapon to finish her off.

Chapter 3: Aftermath

With the Queen defeated, the immediate threat is neutralized, but the war is far from over. This chapter focuses on the immediate aftermath and setting the stage for future conflicts.

• Securing the Area: After the boss battle, you'll need to clear out any remaining Locust stragglers. This is usually a mop-up operation against a few Drones or Wretches.
• Collectible - COG Tag: In the aftermath of the Queen's defeat, search the perimeter of the chamber. A COG Tag can be found near a collapsed pillar on the far side of the room from where you entered.
• Evacuation: Follow your squadmates to the designated evacuation point. There might be a final, minor encounter with a few Locust, but nothing as challenging as the previous chapters.
• Concluding Cinematic: The chapter, and indeed the game, concludes with a cinematic sequence that wraps up the immediate storyline and hints at future events.
