In Chapter 2, Delta Squad is tasked with defending a critical COG outpost from a massive Locust assault. This section emphasizes defensive tactics and holding ground. You'll be given access to a Mortar, which is incredibly effective against large groups of enemies and incoming Reavers. Position yourself strategically behind cover and prioritize targets. Grenadiers with their shotguns can be devastating at close range, so keep your distance. Watch for flanking maneuvers from the Locust, especially from the sides of the outpost. After several waves, you'll need to push out and clear a path for reinforcements. This involves a more aggressive approach, clearing trenches and bunkers. Be mindful of Boomers, whose explosive attacks can down you quickly. Use your Lancer's chainsaw to dispatch any Locust that get too close, and pick up any dropped ammo or grenades from fallen enemies. The chapter culminates in a final push to secure the area.
