Heavy Weapons

Wield heavy weapons in Gears of War 2. Master the Boomshot and Mulcher for devastating firepower against Locust hordes and fortified enemy positions.

Heavy weapons provide immense firepower but often come with drawbacks like limited ammo or reduced mobility. The Boomshot is a powerful grenade launcher, firing explosive rounds that can clear groups of enemies or destroy cover. It's excellent against larger Locust and fortified positions. The Mulcher is a heavy machine gun with a high rate of fire, capable of shredding through enemies, but it slows your movement significantly while firing. The Mortar is a deployable weapon that fires explosive shells in an arc, perfect for indirect fire on entrenched enemies or large groups. The Flamethrower is devastating at close range, incinerating enemies, but has limited range and ammo. The Torque Bow is a Locust weapon that fires explosive arrows, requiring a charge-up but delivering massive damage. Always consider the situation before picking up a heavy weapon; they are best used for specific encounters or boss fights. Ammo is scarce, so make every shot count.
