Navigate the treacherous depths of Deepnest in Hollow Knight with our comprehensive walkthrough. Find Cornifer, defeat Nosk, rescue Grubs, and discover hidden paths.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
From the entrance, go left until you find an opening that goes up. Collect the Geo box to the right. Find Cornifer in the top left corner and buy a map.
  2. 2
Continue left, avoiding spikes. Go up when you reach the other side.
  3. 3
In the next screen, find a Geo chest in an opening to the left and another to the right.
  4. 4
Go up and leave the screen. To the right, worms pass by; this path leads to two Geo boxes.
  5. 5
Follow the path left and up. You will encounter Dirtcarvers. Collect the Geo box below you and continue left.
  6. 6
Avoid worms and spikes. You will encounter a new enemy and a fake floor leading to another Geo box.
  7. 7
Take the path up to circle around and go left to the bottom-left exit. Leave the current screen from the bottom exit.
  8. 8
The path to the right is a dead end. Go left and down all the way to a fake floor.
  9. 9
Follow the worm to the right and take this path to the end. A fake floor will cause you to fall to a hot spring with a Bench.
  10. 10
Use the Bench and leave from the left. Jump on the platform, then to the left. Use Super Dash to the right.
  11. 11
This leads to a fake wall; break it and leave from the left. Rescue the Grub.
  12. 12
Climb the wall to the small opening on the left. There is another fake wall here. Follow it to the end and break the fake wall.
  13. 13
Follow your clone. Leave the area from the bottom right.
  14. 14
Go right; blockades will appear behind you. Prepare for the boss fight against Nosk.
  15. 15
After defeating Nosk, continue right and pick up the Pale Ore. Leave the screen from the left.
  16. 16
Leave the current screen from the top right. Super Dash to the right side and follow the way up.
  17. 17
Reach the top left side of this screen. You will see a Grub slightly to the left, with spikes on the floor and walls. Super Dash to the left and climb up to rescue the Grub.
  18. 18
Slide down and Super Dash back. Follow the way right, collect the Geo box to the right, and leave the screen up.
  19. 19
Ignore Zote (for now) and take the path up. Take the top left path to find the NPC Cloth and a Bench.
  20. 20
Drop down and follow the way right to a fake floor. Return to the Bench room.
  21. 21
Take the hidden path to the left. This leads to the Failed Tramway. Encounter the Carver Hatcher, which spawns Dirtcarvers.
  22. 22
Follow this path left to an abandoned building. Enter from the top left by dropping down. Backtrack to where you saw Zote to save him.
  23. 23
Return to the first Bench (bottom of the map). You will see Quirrel again. Leave the screen from the right.
  24. 24
Follow the worm's path to the bottom right side and leave the screen.
  25. 25
Inspect the element and insert the Tram Pass. Enter the building, use the Bench, and take the Tram to Ancient Basin.

Boss Fight: Nosk

  • Attacks: Charges forward and back. Shoots orange blobs from its core that stick to the ground. Jumps and rains blobs.
  • Strategy: Jump and dash over Nosk during its charge. Avoid blobs by dashing away. Healing is difficult due to Nosk's speed and area coverage. The blob rain attack offers a brief window to heal by running to the end of the screen. Focus on dodging its most common attack, the charge.
