Alright, let's get through the Fungal Wastes. We're heading towards the Mantis Village, and there's a pretty significant boss fight waiting for us. Before you head in, make sure you're at full health and have your Soul meter topped up. You'll want to be ready!

First things first, get yourself to the Bench located on the lower part of the map. Once you're there, make your way to the Mantis Village. From the village, take the exit at the very bottom. You'll need to pass through a few locked doors to reach the bottom of this area. Keep pushing forward; the path leads to the Mantis Lords boss arena.

As you enter the main chamber, you'll spot a note that says 'Challenge.' Go ahead and inspect it to prepare for the fight. Remember, full health and Soul are your best friends here.

Mantis Lords

This fight has a few phases. Initially, you'll face one Mantis Lord. This one has three main attacks:

• A swift spear thrust that covers the entire screen.
• A dive attack where they leap above you and plunge straight down.
• A boomerang-like spinning spear attack.

Your best bet is to wait for them to attack, then dash in to get a few hits on them. Be patient; the intervals between their attacks will get shorter as you damage them.

Once you defeat the first Mantis Lord, the real challenge begins: two Mantis Lords will attack you simultaneously. They can attack one after the other very quickly, or even coordinate their attacks. The double spinning spear attack is particularly tricky to dodge and counter. Honestly, your best bet here is to focus on dodging and wait for them to use their other attacks, which are a bit more manageable. They might not go down at the exact same time, but if you focus on one, the other is usually just a hit or two away from defeat.

After you've bested them, you'll earn the 'Respect' achievement, and the gates will open. Now, check your map and head for the exit in the top-right. You'll notice a Mantis guard who won't attack you and will actually bow – pretty cool, right?

Head into the next building. Directly above you is a chest containing the Mark of Pride Charm. Don't stop there! There's another chest just above that one, holding a Hallownest Seal. Drop down to the right, and keep an eye out for a slightly hidden path to the right, just below where you dropped. This path leads to a Geo Chest. If you continue downwards from there, you'll find another hidden path with a Bench. Use it to save your progress!

Once you've grabbed all the goodies, head back to the Mantis Lords arena and leave through the left exit. This path will lead you towards Deepnest. Good luck!
