First off, head left into the screen with the worms. You'll want to exit from the bottom of this area.

Once you've dropped down, take the very first right you come across. You'll see a black gate – dash right through it.

Follow the path that opens up. You should spot the Sharp Shadow Charm. Grab it!

Next, you'll need to break some scaffolding. After that, head up and then left. Look for a hidden path that leads to the corpse of a Garpede. Interacting with it will add a new entry to your Hunter's Journal.

Now, backtrack to that worm screen we were in earlier. This time, you need to leave from the top left. Getting there requires a bit of platforming: you'll have to bounce on a Garpede using your Nail to reach the upper ledge.

On this upper path, you'll find a Vessel Fragment. Don't miss it!

With those items secured, make your way to the Tram. Take it to the Ancient Basin.

Once you arrive in Ancient Basin, head to the Palace Grounds. You'll need to spend 3000 Geo at a hidden fountain to get a Mask Shard. Keep an eye out for it!

From the Palace Grounds, look for a fake wall to the right. Break through it to discover and activate the Hidden Station.

Now, take the Stag back to Dirtmouth. From there, use the elevator to reach Crystal Peak.

Tips

The Sharp Shadow Charm is fantastic for aggressive players, letting you dash through enemies and deal damage. It also makes your dash slightly longer, which can be useful for platforming.
Don't get discouraged if you miss the Garpede bounce the first time; it can be a little tricky. Just keep trying!
That 3000 Geo for the Mask Shard might seem steep, but an extra mask of health is always worth it in the long run.
