Master the Crescendo Event in Left 4 Dead 2! Learn the best spots to fight, how to manage hordes, and find all the supplies you need to survive.
Alright, you've made it to the Crescendo Event! This is where things get intense, so let's get you prepped.
Walkthrough
- 1You'll start at the docks. Your first objective is to get prepared and then hit the switch. Keep an eye out for guns on the picnic tables nearby – every bit helps!
- 2Once the switch is hit, expect a massive Horde of Zombies. You'll need to hold them off here until the Survivors can board the Raft. Don't dilly-dally; as soon as the Raft arrives, hop on!
- 3After some brief chatter, you'll walk off the Raft onto some planks. These planks are crucial because the water will slow you down considerably.
- 4The planks branch off to the left and right. To the left, you'll find a shack with supplies. To the right, there's a picnic plateau also offering supplies. There's another building with even more goodies just before this fork.
- 5When both paths merge, you'll reach a covered section of the bridge. You'll find a Hunting Rifle and some other useful items here. Head down the stairs.
- 6The planks continue to the right. Stick to them to avoid the murky water.
- 7Keep an ear out for Ellis's story about Keith and the gators – it's a bit of a dark humor break, but doesn't affect gameplay.
- 8The path to the Safe Room is inside a pipe. It's not super complicated, so you shouldn't get too lost, but look for a light above its entrance. You might find a Grenade near some trees on the way.
Survival Tips:
- The absolute best place to make your stand during the Survival portion is the house with the bay window. It's conveniently close to the only Ammo Cache on the map, and it has a small closet perfect for storing explosives.
Scavenge Tips:
- For the Scavenge mode, Fuel Cans are scattered all over the planked areas. You'll start on the picnic plateau, but the Generator is in the jungle. The Fuel Cans themselves are found in the buildings and on the planks throughout the map.
