Subclass Quests

Complete all Lineage II subclass quests. This guide details the steps to unlock up to three additional class paths, starting with the Eye of Argos.

Unlocking the power of subclasses in Lineage II is a pivotal moment for any adventurer seeking to diversify their skills and enhance their character's potential. This comprehensive guide will walk you through the intricate steps required to successfully complete the subclass quests, allowing you to choose up to three additional class paths.

I. The First Subclass: Eye of Argos

Your journey to your first subclass begins with the quest "Eye of Argos," a challenging endeavor that will test your combat prowess and navigational skills. This quest is available to characters who have reached Level 75 and completed their second class transfer.

1. Starting the Quest:
   • Teleport to the Town of Aden.
   • Locate and speak with Grand Master Orem in the Warrior Guild. He will give you the quest "Eye of Argos."
   • Orem will instruct you to speak with Magister Kaspar in the Hardin's Academy. To reach Hardin's Academy, teleport to the Forest of Mirrors and head north.
2. Collecting the Eyeball of Argos:
   • Kaspar will task you with obtaining the Eyeball of Argos. This item drops from the raid boss Argos, located deep within the Wall of Argos.
   • Strategy for Argos: Argos is a formidable foe. It is highly recommended to form a full party (7-9 players) with a balanced composition of tanks, healers, and damage dealers. Argos has a powerful AoE attack and can summon minions. Focus fire on Argos while keeping your healers protected.
   • Once Argos is defeated, loot the Eyeball of Argos from its corpse.
3. Returning to Kaspar:
   • Return to Magister Kaspar at Hardin's Academy with the Eyeball of Argos.
   • He will reward you with the Book of Giants and instruct you to return to Grand Master Orem in Aden.
4. Completing the Quest:
   • Speak with Grand Master Orem in Aden. He will congratulate you and grant you the ability to select your first subclass.
   • To choose your subclass, speak to any Grand Master or High Priest in any major town. They will present you with a list of available subclasses based on your main class.

II. The Second and Third Subclasses: Fate's Whisper

After successfully acquiring your first subclass, you can embark on the "Fate's Whisper" quest to unlock your second and third subclass slots. This quest is available to characters who have reached Level 76 with at least one subclass already obtained.

1. Starting the Quest:
   • Teleport to the Town of Oren.
   • Find and speak with Maestro Reorin, located near the Blacksmith shop. He will give you the quest "Fate's Whisper."
   • Reorin will ask you to retrieve the Reorin's Mold from the Forge of Gods.
2. Retrieving Reorin's Mold:
   • Teleport to the Forge of Gods (accessible from Goddard).
   • Navigate through the Forge of Gods until you find the specific monster Splinter Stakato Drone. These creatures are found deeper within the Forge.
   • Hunt Splinter Stakato Drones until you obtain the quest item Reorin's Mold. This is a random drop, so be prepared for some grinding.
3. The Ghost of the Past:
   • Return to Maestro Reorin in Oren with Reorin's Mold.
   • He will then send you to speak with the Ghost of the Past, located in the Cruma Tower. Teleport to the Swampland and head towards Cruma Tower. The Ghost is usually found on the first floor.
4. The Ancient Language:
   • The Ghost of the Past will require you to collect 50 Ancient Language Texts. These texts drop from various monsters in the Giants' Cave.
   • Teleport to the Giants' Cave (accessible from Goddard). Hunt monsters such as Lesser Giant Soldier, Lesser Giant Mage, and Lesser Giant Scout until you have all 50 texts.
5. The Final Steps:
   • Return to the Ghost of the Past in Cruma Tower with the Ancient Language Texts.
   • The Ghost will then send you back to Maestro Reorin in Oren.
   • Reorin will finally grant you the ability to select your second and third subclasses.
   • As before, speak to any Grand Master or High Priest in a major town to choose your new subclasses.

Important Considerations:

• Level Requirements: Ensure your main character and any existing subclasses meet the minimum level requirements before attempting these quests.
• Party Play: The raid boss Argos and the monsters in the Forge of Gods and Giants' Cave can be challenging. Forming a party is highly recommended for efficiency and survival.
• Inventory Space: Make sure you have sufficient inventory space for quest items.
• Teleport Scrolls: Stock up on teleport scrolls to save time traveling between locations.
• Subclass Restrictions: Remember that certain class combinations are restricted (e.g., you cannot subclass to a class that is the same as your main class or a direct advancement of it).
