The Lab

Access The Mansion, Training Room, or Gallery from The Lab in Luigi's Mansion. Unlock The Hidden Mansion after one playthrough.

The Lab is the starting area in Luigi's Mansion after passing the title and file selection screens, except for the very first time you open a new file. Here, E. Gadd (an NPC (non-player character — anyone the game controls, not you) - non-player character) provides several options:

• The Mansion: Transports you to the main game.
• The Training Room: Allows you to practice ghost-catching in a nearby room.
• The Gallery: A nearby room where all the Portrait Ghosts you've caught are displayed.

If you have finished the game once, an additional option becomes available:

• The Hidden Mansion: Unlocks after completing the game once.

You cannot do anything else in The Lab besides selecting these options.
