Your Friend Code in Mario Kart DS is a unique 12-digit number that others use to identify you when you are connected online. To add a friend, you must use the register option to add their code to your friends list.

Warning: It is not possible to obtain the Friend Codes of players you have previously faced online. Therefore, the only ways to get Friend Codes are to already know the person in question or to post on Mario Kart DS message boards to find new people to add.
