Master the Environmental Control Center in Mass Effect Legendary Edition. Learn enemy tactics, item locations, and how to save Mordin's assistant.
Alright, we're heading into the Environmental Control Center now. This place is crawling with Blood Pack, so keep your eyes peeled and use the cover scattered around. You'll be fighting Blood Pack Troopers, Warriors, Pyros, Boom-Squads, and Vorcha Heavies – they all have armor, so focus your fire!
As you push through the hallway, opening the door to the south will reveal Mordin's assistant, Daniel. If you've put enough points into Persuasion (around 100), you can talk him down. If not, those Batarians will unfortunately shoot him, so try to have those points ready!
Head into the main control center and clear out the Blood Pack inside. Your main objective here is to inject the cure. Once that's done, you'll need to head to the side rooms to get the fans running. Be ready for a fight after injecting the cure – those missile-launching Boom-Squads will appear on the upper level, and Troopers will come at you from the sides.
When you start up the West Fan Array, expect more Blood Pack to show up. The Vorcha Heavies on the upper level will be launching missiles, while Pyros and Krogan will be on the lower levels. Don't forget, your Overload ability is super effective against both Vorcha Heavies and Pyros, often causing them to explode!
After you initialize the East Fan Array, you'll automatically head back to Mordin. If you've already grabbed everything from the clinic, you're free to go. Back on the Normandy, chat with your squadmates about upgrades. Some will offer personal upgrades, while others will help beef up the Normandy itself. Since minerals are pretty easy to come by, I'd suggest prioritizing the Normandy upgrades, especially Miranda's Advanced Mineral Scanning – it'll make future scans way faster.
