Guide to locating all survey sites for Project Firewalker in Mass Effect. Learn how to defeat Geth enemies and Colossi using the Hammerhead vehicle.
Walkthrough
- 1Head to the Verr system in the Hawking ETA cluster. Upon landing, you will immediately face Geth enemies. Use the Hammerhead's homing missiles by aiming so they have a curved path to the target, rather than directly at it. Avoid obstacles like the ground or other objects to prevent missiles from hitting them.
- 2Proceed linearly through the area, defeating Geth. Avoid landing or driving into water, as the Hammerhead will not hover and will explode if submerged too deeply.
- 3The first artifact is guarded by a Geth Colossus. You can defeat it by taking cover on the lower level and firing missiles slightly upwards. Continue along the ground, engaging any remaining Geth, towards the second artifact.
- 4Near the second artifact, another Geth Colossus will appear along with Destroyers. Engage them from a distance, using 'Jump-Shots' to adjust your aim for better angles.
- 5After examining the second artifact, proceed left and up a ramp into a structure. Here, you will encounter another Colossus and more Geth. Engage the Colossus from range, but maneuver to get clear shots at the smaller Geth. Examine the third artifact.
- 6The fourth artifact is located above. Jump up the left side to reach it. You will need to get closer than usual to hit the Geth that appear near this artifact, but they should not pose a significant threat.
- 7Near the fourth artifact, head up the ramp to find a platinum storage deposit. You will be attacked by three rocket drones on the way.
- 8Jump a few times to reach the final artifact. This location is defended by two Colossi, a Prime, and a Destroyer. Maneuver with left-right strafing to avoid incoming fire while engaging them. Be aware that you can only withstand about two Colossus shots before your Hammerhead explodes.
- 9To the right of the final artifact, there is an optional platinum storage deposit.
Tips
- Hammerhead missiles home in on enemies, so aim with a slight curve to the target.
- Avoid water hazards, as the Hammerhead will explode if submerged.
- Use cover and elevation to your advantage when fighting Colossi.
- Strafe left and right to dodge enemy fire, especially during the final encounter.
