Guide your way through the Environmental Control Center in Mass Effect Legendary Edition. Learn enemy tactics, item locations, and how to save Mordin's assistant.
Alright, let's get this Environmental Control Center section sorted out. It's mostly about clearing out some Blood Pack mercs and getting a cure ready. You'll be fighting in close quarters, so cover is your best friend here.
Walkthrough
- 1You'll start in a hallway. Keep an eye out for cover as you push forward. The first door you open to the south leads to Mordin's assistant, Daniel. If you have around 100 points in Persuasion, you can save him. If not, the Batarians will unfortunately shoot him. Make that choice based on your character build!
- 2Head into the main control center. More Blood Pack enemies are waiting, but again, plenty of cover to use. Your main goal here is to inject the cure.
- 3After injecting the cure, you'll need to turn on the fans. As you do, watch out for missile-launching Boom-Squad units that appear on the upper level, along with Troopers coming from the sides.
- 4When you start up the West Fan Array, expect more Blood Pack to attack. This time, you'll have Vorcha Heavies firing missiles from the upper level, while Pyros and Krogan push up from the lower levels. Don't forget, your Overload ability is super effective against both Vorcha Heavies and Pyros – it'll make them explode!
- 5Once the East Fan Array is initialized, you'll automatically return to Mordin. If you've already grabbed all the items from the clinic, you're free to head out.

Tips
- When you get back to the Normandy, talk to your squadmates about upgrades. Some offer personal upgrades, while others can improve the Normandy itself. Upgrading the ship is usually a good bet, especially Miranda's Advanced Mineral Scanning, as it makes finding resources for future upgrades much faster.
- 1,000 EXP
- 18,500 Credits
Squadmate Upgrade Recommendations:
- Mordin recommends the Mordin Omni-tool.
- Doctor Chakwas suggests a Med-bay upgrade (purely cosmetic).

- Miranda recommends Advanced Mineral Scanning.
- Garrus recommends the Thanix Cannon.
