Bullet Time & Shootdodge:

Bullet Time and Shootdodge are key features that make gameplay stylish and fun. In Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne, Bullet Time has been modified to complement standing and gunning, making it less effective to use with Shootdodge due to the long recovery time. You can now confront 5 or more enemies simultaneously with Bullet Time while standing. The screen turns yellow when Bullet Time is active; the longer you use it, the faster you become while enemies slow down. A new effect allows Max to perform a 360-degree reload spin if the gun runs out of ammo during Bullet Time.

Bullet Time fills up automatically when not in use or can be regained by killing enemies.

Bullet Time Activation:

  1. While moving, press the Bullet Time/Shootdodge combo to perform a slow-motion shootdodge. Bullet Time ends when you stand up.
  2. While standing still, press the Bullet Time/Shootdodge combo to activate slow motion for you and the world. Press the same button again or perform a shootdodge to stop it.
  3. Press the Bullet Time only button to activate and press it again to stop.

Shootdodges can be used with or separately from Bullet Time, involving a dive or roll forward, backward, or sideways depending on the weapon carried.
