003.4 - Motorcycle Chase
This section can be extremely fun or devastatingly difficult, especially if you are going for a no-kill game. You can switch to auto-aiming by pressing the Square button and hide behind EVA by pressing Triangle.
If you are not going for a non-lethal game, play this section like the tank scene at the end of Act Two. Weapons have unlimited ammo during this sequence. Pick a machine gun with a large clip, hold L1 and R1, and shoot anything that moves, except the black van. In later parts, focus more on the Haven Troopers than on Raging Raven, as the Troopers are more likely to defeat you. You should not have too much trouble staying alive through to the boss fight.
Non-lethal games are trickier, and this is much more difficult than the scene in Act Two, as most threats then were machines. The motorcycle chase is the opposite: Raging Raven's sliders are the least of your worries, while the Haven Troopers and patrol vehicles will quickly deplete your life gauge if left unchecked. Your Mk2 does not shoot fast enough to be effective, and the Twin Barrel shotgun must be reloaded after every shot. Because neither weapon is good for crowd control, equip Stun Grenades for when the motorcycle stops or large groups of Haven Troopers gather.
With the non-lethal run, focus on limiting damage rather than clearing every area. Specifically, target the three patrol vehicles that appear after Raging Raven, as they can easily take away half of your life on The Boss Extreme and Big Boss Hard difficulties. If you can take (cover (press the cover button to crouch behind walls or objects)) behind EVA and shoot the gunners without getting hit, you have a good chance of making it through alive, even if your Twin Barrel can only take out one in every five or six Haven Troopers.
The reward for surviving the motorcycle sequence is a battle with Raging Raven.
003.5 - Echo's Beacon
Boss: Raging Raven
Raging Raven is an annoying boss because you spend most of the time waiting for an opportunity to attack. The battle takes place in a tower; stay exclusively on the highest level. Since you begin on the ground floor, run up immediately after picking up any items. Otherwise, Raven will crash through walls and perform quick attacks that inflict significant damage, and there are few good places to consistently avoid her attacks from all directions.
Once at the top, equip any rifle with a scope, such as the M14 or SVD, and crouch just inside the doorway leading outside. Raging Raven and her Sliders will be flying around, and it is extremely difficult to hit them as they are constantly moving. It gets easier once you learn how far ahead to shoot to register a hit. If Raging Raven is out of sight, destroy some Sliders. Raven will get angry and eventually appear. After waiting a few minutes without a clear shot, you may be tempted to venture outside and be more aggressive. However, this can be fatal, as before you can pinpoint Raven's location, she will launch missiles and knock you around, possibly off the tower. Staying in the doorway is safer, as attacks only come from one direction, and you can use the inside of the room as (cover). When Raven appears, quickly aim and shoot her out of the air before ducking back inside to avoid her attack.
If you call Otacon, he will reveal that Raven's weapon will overheat if used too much, she forgets to let it cool down when angry, and she gets angry when you destroy her Sliders. If you are willing to use extra ammo, shoot the Sliders to send Raven into a rage, causing her weapon to become unusable for a short time. Raven will then land on a rooftop, providing an easy shot.
Boss: Raging Beauty
This boss is identical to the previous Beauty, so there isn't much else to say that hasn't already been said. Like Octopus before her, Raven will
