Walkthrough
- 1Upon starting Act Five: Old Sun, you'll be in the Ship's Bow with a caution (alert status) automatically active.
- 2Equip the Mk2 tranquilizer gun and crawl east (left) on the ship.
- 3Shoot the two approaching Haven Troopers, prioritizing the one behind the other to avoid suspicion.
- 4Continue down the side of the ship and take out another pair of Haven Troopers that jump down from the second floor.
- 5As another Haven Trooper approaches, knock them out with a headshot (a precise shot to the head) and wait for two more patrolling Troopers to move away before sneaking past.

Screaming Mantis controls people's actions using her powers, unlike Psycho Mantis from the original Metal Gear Solid who also manipulated the environment and read minds. This fight is a gimmick that becomes less challenging once you understand the mechanic.
- When the fight begins, Meryl and some Haven Troopers will be under Mantis' control.
- Run from the center area and use computers for cover.
- You cannot directly target Mantis with your crosshairs (the aiming reticle).
