This section details the objectives within Midnight Club: Los Angeles. The game features a career mode where players progress by completing various racing objectives to build their reputation and become the City Champ.

Objectives:

1. Start the game by choosing one of three starter cars: a 1998 Nissan 240SX, a 1983 Volkswagen Golf GTI, or a 1988 Volkswagen Scirocco.
2. Build reputation to become the City Champ.
3. Race and defeat regional opponents to prove your skill.
4. Race against Booke, the current City Champ, at the Standard Hotel to become the new City Champ.
5. Upon becoming City Champ, other championship races will open up.
6. Challenge and defeat the Champs of all five vehicle classes: Oswaldo, Julian, Lester, Pete, and Marcel.
7. After becoming City Champ, Booke will propose a business venture requiring $1 million dollars to co-own his garages, granting you access to free vehicles from his establishments. This also impacts Doc's South Central garage.
