Explore the Buddy Plaza in Monster Hunter Rise! Learn about the Buddy Board, Dojo, Scout, Meowcenaries, and The Argosy to train, customize, and gather resources with your buddies.

The Buddy Plaza in Monster Hunter Rise offers several facilities to manage and enhance your Palico and Palamute companions. These include the Buddy Board for selecting hunt buddies and changing their gear, the Buddy Dojo for training and leveling up, and the Buddy Scout for hiring and customizing new companions.

Buddy Board: Choose your buddies for the next hunt and change their equipment and skills.

Buddy Dojo: Managed by Shirbuei, this is where your buddies train to increase their level and unlock more skills.

Buddy Tickets: A new item acquired from Shirubei after completing quests, used to craft and upgrade Buddy Weapons and Armor.

Buddy Scout: Managed by Iori, this facility allows you to change your current buddies' appearance or hire new Palamutes and Palicos. The 'Scout a Buddy' option lets you be specific about appearance and type, with available buddies changing after quests.

Meowcenaries: Managed by Kogarashi, dispatch your Palamutes and Palicos to gather items and monster materials. Access to more areas and monsters unlocks as you progress through Village Quests. Using a Lagniapple can significantly boost your buddies' efforts.

The Argosy: Managed by Rondine, this facility lets you order items, similar to the Botanical Research in Monster Hunter: World. The number of available submarines (max 3) determines how many buddies you can send out. Submarines unlock at specific quest milestones: Submarine 1 at 2★ Village/Hub Quest, Submarine 2 at 3★ Village/Hub Quest or after completing 'Cultural Exchange', and Submarine 3 at 6★ Village Quests or after completing 'Economic Stimulation'.

When setting up trade missions, you can add Bargaining Skills to increase the quantity of items returned. Like with Meowcenaries, Lagniapples can be used here to increase your buddies' effort.

Bargaining Skills:

  • Casual Bargain — Level 5+ | 100 Kamura Points
  • Speedy Bargain — Level 15+ | 150 Kamura Points
  • Shiny Bargain — Level 25+ | 300 Kamura Points
  • EZ-PZ Bargain — Level 30+ | 250 Kamura Points
  • Breakneck Bargain — Level 35+ | 300 Kamura Points
