Tobi-Kadachi, often shortened to “Tobi,” is an agile and deceptively dangerous monster. It is known for its constant movement, jumping attacks to confuse hunters, and its ability to charge its body with electricity, similar to Zinogre. Tobi can also briefly fly using the wings between its legs.

Tobi-Kadachi’s parts/elemental susceptibility and ailment susceptibility.

Attack Patterns

Headbutt

Tobi-Kadachi pulls its head back, lifting one foreleg. It then thrusts its head forward with thorns extended, accompanied by a “voom” sound.

Arm Swipe

Tobi raises one foreleg and swipes across with it. This attack has a limited range due to Tobi’s short forelegs and minimal forward movement.

Bite

Tobi looks sideways with its head high and mouth open, then bites in the direction it’s facing. If enraged (electrified), it will move further, turn around, and perform a second bite. Getting hit by either bite in the enraged state will temporarily disable wirebugs.

Side Dash

Tobi looks sideways with its head near the ground and mouth open, making a growl. It pulls back its neck and charges swiftly in the direction it’s facing, pausing briefly afterward.

Shoulder Bash

Tobi crouches down while looking sideways, possibly with a quiet humming sound. It stands up, lifts both forelegs, drops back down, and thrusts its shoulder outwards, stumbling afterward.

Leaping Pounce

Tobi shuffles back slightly, facing forward with its mouth open and making a growl. It then leaps forward a considerable distance. This is often followed by a Tail Slam, but Tobi may stop and idle if tired. This is a common combo to learn.

Tail Slam

Tobi looks backward with its tail slightly raised. It quickly waves its tail upwards once, then backflips and slams its tail down.

Tail Whip

Tobi looks backward with its tail fully raised. It waves its tail sideways a few times, then sweeps it from one side to another.

Tail Darts

Tobi crouches diagonally while looking forward, with its tail slightly raised and making a growl. It spins on the spot, lashing its tail out, shooting a flying dart that remains on the ground. Tobi may use this attack twice in a row.

Hang from Wall

Tobi aligns itself horizontally and stares at the hunter. It then jumps off the wall to perform a dangerous attack.
