Endemic Life: Rock Lizard

Learn where to find elusive Rock Lizards in Monster Hunter Rise for Senior Hunter Hanenaga's request. We'll guide you to their spawn points in Shrine Ruins.

Hey there, Hunter! So, you've picked up the "Endemic Life: Rock Lizard" request from Senior Hunter Hanenaga, huh? He hangs out near the bridge to the Buddy Plaza. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to snap a photo of these shy little critters. Don't worry, it's not too tough once you know where to look!

Rock Lizards can pop up in a few different places, but if you're still early in the game, your main hunting ground will be the Shrine Ruins. These guys are purple, covered in shiny gems, and love to hang out in high spots. In Shrine Ruins, you'll want to keep an eye out above Area 7, and also near Areas 9, 10, and 11. Just a heads-up, they don't always show up at every single spot, so you might have to do a bit of checking around or even leave the area and come back to get a new spawn.

The spot above Area 7 is pretty straightforward – just look along the outer rocky walls. For the other three, you'll definitely need to make use of your Wirebugs to get up to those high cliff edges. The spawn near Area 9 is usually the next easiest to reach; just use your Wirebugs from the main path. If you're feeling a bit rusty on how to use them, don't sweat it! Once you've spotted a Rock Lizard, whip out your camera and get that perfect shot. After you've got your photo, head back to Senior Hunter Hanenaga to complete the request. As a reward for your keen eye, you'll snag yourself 8 Great Wirebugs. Happy hunting!
