Your ultimate guide to Ninja Gaiden 4's Part 69! Master Rachel's Fiend Challenge, navigate the Archives, and conquer the Monastery Plaza with expert tips and strategies.
Alright, let's dive into Part 69 of Ninja Gaiden 4. This section throws a couple of different challenges at you, starting with Rachel and then switching back to Ryu for some city traversal and a bit of a puzzle. Don't worry, we'll get through it together!
Rachel's Fiend Challenge & Monastery Approach
When you first enter this area, get ready to take on some Pink Shadow Fiends. Clear them all out first. Once the coast is clear, head over to the Save Point and make sure to SAVE your game. Now, to the left of the Monastery entrance, you'll find the Monastery Annex. Head there because Rachel has her first Fiend Challenge waiting, and there's also another Muramasa Statue if you need to stock up.
After the challenge is complete, Rachel will snag a new Hairstyle. Now, head back to the Monastery entrance doors and SAVE your game again. Enter the Monastery and go up the walkway towards the Altar Hall.
Area: Altar Hall & Archives
In the Altar Hall, you'll need to destroy all the Pink Shadow Fiends. Just use some easy combos to take them down. The key here is to avoid the Altar itself for now. Instead, enter the door on the right side of the Altar Hall, which leads into the Archives.
As soon as you step into the Archives, watch out! Red Fire Ninjas will drop in from above. Be ready to use quick evasion and counterattacks to deal with them. Some hard combos and Ultimate Techniques (UTs) should clear this room out. Once they're all dealt with, head upstairs and approach the paintings to finish this part of the mission.
Chapter 6: City of Fiends - Leaving Han's Bar
MISSION COMPLETE! Now, we switch gears to Ryu and Chapter 6. First things first, approach the Save Point nearby and SAVE your game. There's also a chest right here with some goodies, so open it up. Now, it's time to leave Han's Bar.
You have two options to leave: the easy way or the hard way. The easy way is to jump down from the balcony (the one Gamov used) to the lower balcony. There's another chest there with more items. After that, jump down to the street below. The hard way involves going inside the bar, taking the stairs down, fighting off soldiers in the halls, and then fighting another group of soldiers before reaching the exit.
Heads up: If you take the easy way by jumping straight to the street, you'll miss out on some chests inside Han's Bar, including a Life of the Gods (OTG) item which is really useful. If you miss it, you might want to go back and grab it!
Street Encounters & Moat Road
As you exit back onto the street, get ready for an ambush from two respawning MSAT Motorcycle guys. Use your Flying Swallow attack and Arrows to take them down quickly. Once the street is clear of these threats, find the Save Point next to Han's Bar and SAVE your game.
Before heading off, don't forget to grab Golden Scarab #6 and the Windmill Shuriken. The Windmill Shuriken reappears here even in Hard Mode after you pick it up. Interact with the Team Ninja Prototype to restore everything. Now, your objective is to head to Moat Road.
Make your way back towards the Bronze Lilly Door. You'll need to take out some waiting soldiers and then head down the alley. At the end of the alley, use a continuous Wall Run to reach an upper ledge with a chest. Inside, you'll find another Life of the Gods (OTG)!
Area: Moat Road & Drawbridge Square
As you proceed down the alley in Moat Road, a trio of Red Fire Ninjas will appear. These guys respawn every time you come back to this area, so try to eliminate them as fast as possible. Once they're dealt with, make your way to the Save Point to SAVE your game, and then head towards Drawbridge Square.
In Drawbridge Square, your objective is to find the Pegasus Key to lower the drawbridge. First, clear out the motorcycle soldiers in the area. Then, enter the blue-jeweled doorway. On the other side, you'll find more soldiers waiting – take them out to clear the area.
The chest in the middle of the alley holds the PEGASUS KEY. Grab it! Opposite the chest, on a ledge, is Golden Scarab #7. To reach it, use a continuous Wall Run on the nearby wall. Once you have the Scarab, use the Pegasus Key on the gate. Inside the room with the gate, pull the lever to lower the drawbridge. If you want, SAVE your game here, and then make your way across the drawbridge.
Drawbridge Hill & Monastery Plaza
Cross the drawbridge and head up the large stairs to Drawbridge Hill. You'll spot a Save Point across the way. When you reach it, be ready for an ambush: three Red Fire Ninjas will jump down. Take them out with some solid combos.
Right next to the Save Point on Drawbridge Hill is Golden Scarab #8. Grab it! Then, take the path to the right and search the wall crevices to find Golden Scarab #9. The chest near Scarab #10 contains another Life OTG, so make sure to grab that too!
After collecting these items, backtrack and go around the street to find Muramasa's Statue. Restock any items you need, then head down the stairs to Monastery Plaza.
As soon as you enter Monastery Plaza, the gate will rise and lock you in. Soldiers will start dropping from a nearby balcony. Quickly move to where they're dropping from and take them out using Izuna Drops and UTs. Once all the soldiers are defeated, the gates will unlock, allowing you to proceed through the front gates to the Monastery.
