Main mission: Corpses and Ice

After the shrine in the Outer Fortress, speak to Mumyo to have her join you.

Continue forward, defeating enemies until you reach a broken bridge. Turn right and follow the path to a cluster of broken buildings with enemies, including snipers.

Find a scrampuss in one building. Proceed until you see a pile of corpses and a staircase ahead. A chest is located in a building next to this staircase. Ignore the stairs with enemies on them for now.

From the pile of corpses, turn right instead of taking the stairs. Follow a path behind another house up some stairs into a dark realm (a corrupted area that buffs enemies and debuffs the player).

Continue up the path within the dark realm to find an Enki. Defeat the Enki to dispel the dark realm.

A chest is inside the house where the Enki was. Behind a destroyable wheelbarrow outside this house is the 1st Kodama.

Jump off a nearby ledge to return to the lower area. Deal with any remaining yokai (monsters) and proceed forward to reach the area the first stairs would have led to.

Turn right into the large gate and descend the stairs until you reach a wooden partition with boxes next to the stairs. Break these boxes to find the 2nd Kodama.

Follow the path to a damaged bridge where you must fight three Skeleton Soldiers.

You can descend via a slope to kill Gaki (small, weak yokai) and search a body.

Continue on the path until you reach a house with a small chest inside.

Keep moving forward to reach the second shrine. Mumyo will depart after this point.

In the Inner Fortress, go up the stairs. When you see an entrance into a building, do not enter. Instead, go around it to find a ladder.

Climb the ladder and move around the upper balcony to find the 3rd Kodama behind some boxes.

Go back down and enter the building. Kill the enemy inside, then go downstairs and defeat three human enemies.

Exit the building and find an open area leading to another building with two gates. You can open one gate from here, which serves as a shortcut to the shrine.

Return to the building you were just in. Do not proceed to the next one yet. Go back up and navigate around the large hole to find a plank leading to the next building from the balcony.

This area is covered in a dark realm caused by a large, multi-headed yokai. Kill this yokai and others on the first, second, and third floors of this building to clear the dark realm.

Go back to the second floor and find a staircase leading to another part of the third floor. Here you will find a chest and a path into the next building.

Kill the enemy examining a body and any other enemies on this floor. Avoid jumping or falling down, as there are three enemies below and one at the entrance who will alert them.

Cross the plank and follow the path to the next building. Kill the sniper on the other side and then descend a ladder into a room on your left.

In this room, you will fight 2-3 enemies, including a named human who is tougher than normal but still manageable.

Open the chest in this room, then go to the room on your left. Break some boxes in the corner to find the 4th Kodama.

Go up the stairs, defeating enemies, and enter the next building, doing the same. Follow the path and kill the enemy wielding an odachi (a type of greatsword).

The 5th Kodama is in the very corner by the stairs where you killed the odachi enemy.

If you advance from here, you will return to where you started. Check the left part of the ledge for a small chest containing ninja locks. Return to where you killed the named enemy.

Leave the building through the front (the open entrance, not the gate inside). Enter the building on your right to defeat a sub-boss and open another chest.

You can open the gate ahead outside that building to create a shortcut to the shrine.

There is also a path to the right of the building where you killed the named enemy. Follow this path to a small house containing a yoki (a type of ogre yokai) and a chest.

Return to where you faced the named enemy. Open the gate here, then the next gate, and advance further.

You will face another named enemy, significantly stronger and more challenging.

After defeating this second named enemy, you can open the gate behind him to find the 3rd shrine.

Inside a building near the shrine is the 6th Kodama.

Past the shrine is a bridge where you will face a new yokai called Namahage, an annoying enemy that uses a halberd. Try to lure it back near the shrine to avoid fighting in a narrow area.

Cross the bridge. You can check the lower bridge area where there are two Skeleton Soldiers and a yoki.

In the Ice Fortress, you will see a large locked gate ahead. Take the left route.

Defeat the enemies on the way until you arrive in a dark realm. Fight your way to a giant ice crystal and destroy it to dispel the dark realm.

A chest is located in a house within this dark realm. After clearing the dark realm, open it.

In front of the house is a path leading to its roof, where you will find the 7th Kodama.

Open the gate to create a shortcut, then continue on the path ahead.

Kill three enemies. Before proceeding further, find the Nuri kabe (a wall-dwelling yokai) on the left wall.

You will find a hot spring and a nearby ladder going down to a bloody river. Follow the path to the left to find the 8th and final Kodama.

Head back to where you fought the Nurikabe, cross the bridge, and drop down to begin the boss fight against Magara Naotaka.

Magara Naotaka is a physically imposing and difficult boss with predictable attack patterns but high attack power and difficult-to-counter burst attacks. It also has high defense, making damage a challenge, and recovers Ki (stamina) very quickly, making it hard to stagger.

To defeat Magara Naotaka, use a fast weapon, even if its damage is low.

Enchant your weapon with fire using a Flame Talisman or the Inferno Oni-bi (a type of spirit) yokai ability.

Have as many lightning and flame-infused items or abilities as possible.
