Main mission: The hollow fortress

In the Outer Caverns, break glowing yellow crystals for amrita. Ignore the first ladder; follow the path to a second ladder, fighting two dwellers along the way.

Climb the second ladder, follow the path to a room with a dweller, kill it, and find another ladder behind some boxes. This leads up to the wooden scaffolding.

Cross the bridge in front of you and find the first kodama behind some boxes.

Jump back down (a chest and two dwellers are up here). Continue following the path, defeat a dweller, and approach the stairs with a stone lantern. This lantern is a new yokai that transforms into a fire-blasting witch-like yokai.

Head up the stairs, then up a ladder. Walk across narrow beams, shoot and remove the human enemy with the torch, and deal with the dweller.

Continue across until you find a way down in front of a sub-boss, Enki. Kill the Enki and open the gate for a shortcut back to the shrine.

To the left of the gate is a room with two enemies and a room with an empty chest, with a sudama behind it.

Before using the device to call the elevator, backtrack to the first shrine, use it, and go past it in the original path before the first ladder you climbed. Drop down into the area below and heal immediately upon landing.

Fight the sub-boss Yokai called an Onryoki. This enemy uses chains and weights as weapons but is slow. It is easy to reduce its Ki and does not use the dark realm. Behind the sub-boss is a chest with ninja locks.

To the side is a ladder leading to a new room with a gate that brings you up to the elevator area.

Use the device to bring the elevator down. Step on the center part to make it go up. Jump off when you see a dark realm, before the elevator stops.

Move past the gate, not entering the first room. Move to the edge of the planks and look down to see the second kodama. Jump down to get it.

Jump down behind the elevator area. Enter the room and fight a sub-boss, a kuroka (the flame-wielding foe). Open the chest.

Go back out and use the wooden beams to backtrack to the dark realm.

Advance, killing enemies. At a fork with a chest and an aberrant soldier, go towards the soldier. Reach a room with a dweller and an enemy called a Rokurokbi (a spearman with a worm head). Deal with it using throwing weapons or cautiously at close range.

After killing the Rokurokbi, advance to the next room and open the gate, returning to where you jumped off the elevator. Open the chest.

Backtrack to the fork with the aberrant soldier. Notice a hole in the ground a little earlier from where the chest is. Jumping down explores the area below, which contains enemies and chests in various places; it's a vertical maze.

To advance in the Castle Area, you can use the elevator all the way. After beating the Rokurubi, you find the second shrine.

Following the path outside from the elevator area leads to an outside area with an Enki sub-boss. Beat the Enki to find the third Kodama and lower a ladder to the second shrine.

After killing the Enki, climb the ladder up to an area with an aberrant soldier and a disguised Koroka. Defeat them; the chest contains onmyo locks.

To the left wall is a nurikabe (a wall yokai) and behind it is the first of two hot springs in this area.

From where you fought the Enki, advance to the fork. Take the path to the right with a one-eyed oni. Beat it and follow the path to the castle area. Climb a ladder, beat two dwellers and an archer. Behind the archer is the fourth kodama.

Jump down and fight another Rokurubi sub-boss. This path is a shortcut to the normal way up.

Go up the staircase and beat the aberrant soldier and snowclops (which has the same soul core drop as the one-eyed oni) outside. Enter the building in the dark realm.

Advance through this building until you find a staircase going down near a third shrine. Go down and kill the Enki and Kuroka to remove the dark realm.

Head back outside and go around to the left. You will see a locked gate and a ledge. Go to the ledge in the corner to find the fifth kodama. Drop down to get it, then drop down again.

Enter the house with the sub-boss and beat it, then open the chest for the key to the gate.

You will find a Sudama in a different building. Go back to where you jumped down from and open the gate.

Walk up the stairs and into the building. Behind the third samurai statue on the right is the last kodama. At the end of the corridor is a scrampuss.
