Start at the shrine in the outer fortress. Collect amrita from a watchtower and a dead-end path.

Proceed into the fortress, avoiding the stairs for now. Defeat two enemies after the doorway. Break boxes to the right of the doorway to find the first Kodama.

Continue along the path. A ninja lurks in the shadows around the next corner; snipe it if possible, then defeat the other enemy.

You have a choice: take a ladder to enter a building from earlier or continue on the main path. For this walkthrough, take the ladder.

Inside the building, climb to the top floor and defeat two Gaki. Descend the ladder to the first floor, where you'll find 2-3 Gaki and a Yoki. Defeating the Yoki dispels the dark realm. Open chests on the first and second floors (the second floor chest may be a mimic).

Descend the rear ladder from the second floor and follow the path to a house. Defeat the enemy outside, then go around the house to find the second Kodama.

Enter the house, which is a dark realm. Be cautious of ambushing Gaki and one in a storage room. Defeat the Aberrant Soldier inside to dispel the dark realm. Collect amrita and find a gun with limited ammo.

Continue down the path to the next shrine, located in a cavern with a poison pool.

Take the left path, ignoring the closed gate to the right. Follow the path until you fight an Aberrant Soldier.

Enter the cave ahead. Avoid the red bridge unless you want to search a corpse guarded by two Gaki.

Inside the cave, you will encounter a Nure-Onna. Defeat it. Walk past the large tree and kill the enemy in the small passage to get items from a chest.

Look for a wall with eye holes; this is a Nurikabe. You can defeat it by attacking it twice to make it appear, or use the 'Nice!' emote if you have the soul core. Pass through the opened wall to find items on corpses.

Exit the cave and follow the path. Find a small cave with a corpse, but beware of a Nure-Onna on the ceiling. Shoot it down and defeat it.

Enter another cave and follow the path to a fork. Take the left path to find the third Kodama camouflaged in green poison.

Take the other path, defeating a Gaki, an Enki, and an Aberrant Soldier behind boxes.

Reach another fork. Go left to find hot springs.

Take the other path down some stairs, defeating two Gaki.

Follow the path until you reach stairs going up and down. Go up.

Find a small cavern to your left with two enemies and a corpse. Continue until you defeat an enemy with dual hatchets.

Return down the stairs and take the other stairs further down.

Head straight forward to a distortion to fight a sub-boss Nure-Onna.

Go down the left path and break boxes to find scrampuss.

Follow the wall to your right to some boxes near a bridge-like platform. Break them to reveal the first Sudama. Attacking it will cause it to retaliate.

To obtain the Kodama soul core, head here immediately from the shrine. If the Sudama doesn't give it, exit to the title menu and reload.

From the Sudama's location, use your gun or bow to snipe the Aberrant Soldier across the poison river. Defeat the two Gaki nearby.

Near where the Gaki were, behind some rocks at the edge of the poison river, find the Fourth Kodama.

Tips

Use large, powerful weapons like the Odachi against the Nure-Onna due to their speed and size.
The Aberrant Soldier dispels the dark realm in the house.
The second floor chest in the building can be a mimic.
The Nurikabe can be bypassed with the 'Nice!' emote if you have the soul core.
If the Sudama doesn't give you the desired item, reload the game.
