• Weaknesses: Mini-Egg, Quake Hammer, Flurrie, Yoshi's Gulp/Ground Pound

Phases:

1. Macho Grubba uses a sliding attack (easily blocked).
2. He uses a Superman-like attack that deals 4 damage.
3. He lowers a girder and shakes it, causing debris to fall multiple times.

Strategy:

• Start by using Mini-Egg.
• Follow up with Power Smash, Bounce, or Jump repeatedly.
• Have Yoshi use Gulp or Ground Pound repeatedly.

After defeating Macho Grubba, you are the champion of the Glitz Pit. Back in the locker room, Grubba gives you the championship belt. Jolene takes you to the champion's room where you discover your Crystal Star is missing. Your partner hears a strange voice. Heal up, then jump on the presents. Take Yoshi to the ledge over the door, then to the ledge beside the vent. Use the Super Hammer to smash the vent, revealing a ventilation duct.

In the storage room's ventilation duct, head to the right side. You'll overhear Grubba talking to himself, revealing he caused the fighters' disappearances and you are next. Use the Super Hammer to open the vent.

In Grubba's office, check behind the plant and in the right desk drawer for two Star Pieces. Open the other drawer to get papers revealing a machine under the ring powered by the Crystal Star. Grubba bursts in, and your partner accuses him. Grubba runs to the ring. Heal, save, and prepare for the fight.

In the empty arena, Grubba reveals his secret to staying young and buff, then becomes super-buff inside a machine with the Crystal Star on top.
