Join Briar's expedition to Area Zero in Pokémon Scarlet to uncover the secrets of Terapagos and the Stellar Type. Includes walkthrough, boss battle strategies, and tips.

After defeating Kieran, head to classroom 1-4. Briar asks you to join her on an expedition to Area Zero to find the Legendary Pokémon Terapagos. You can choose to join, or if you select 'I dunno...', Geeta will insist you go. The team includes Carmine, Kieran, you, and Briar.

Talk to Geeta, who gives you the Indigo Disk and asks you to investigate its purpose in Area Zero. Meet Briar and the others at the entrance of Blueberry Academy and select 'Yes' to travel to Area Zero.

Briar suggests heading to the Zero Lab. Interact with the panel to open the gate. To proceed, select 'In you go, disk!' to insert the Indigo Disk. Once confirmed, the gate opens. Enter the Zero Lab and use the elevator.

Inside, Briar finds a report by Professor Sada (in Pokémon Scarlet) or Professor Turo (in Pokémon Violet) revealing Terapagos as the hidden treasure. The report also describes a unique Terastallization called Stellar Type, which holds the power of every known type.

You can choose to read more documents or continue exploring. Paths in the Area Zero Underdepths are blocked by crystals. Each blockade requires defeating a nearby Pokémon with the Stellar Tera Type to remove it.

The Pokémon with the Stellar Tera Type you will encounter are:

  1. Glimmora (Lv. 78) - Rock/Poison-type
  2. Noivern (Lv. 78) - Flying/Dragon-type
  3. Sandy Shocks (Lv. 79) - Electric/Ground-type (in Pokémon Scarlet)
  4. Iron Thorns (Lv. 79) - Rock/Electric-type (in Pokémon Violet)
  5. Garganacl (Lv. 80) - Rock-type

In a specific area, your Tera Orbs will detect immense Terastal energy. Follow Kieran into this area to find the hidden treasure of Area Zero. When ready, interact with Kieran and select 'Yes' to begin the battle with Terapagos (Lv. 85, Normal-type). Use Fighting-type Pokémon to defeat it.

Terapagos Battle Strategy:

The battle has three phases, with Terapagos changing its Tera Type each round using its Stellar Tera Type:

  1. Phase 1: Terapagos is Tera-type Normal. Use Fighting-types. Beware of Zen Headbutt.
  2. Phase 2: Terapagos is Tera-type Psychic. Use Bug-, Dark-, or Ghost-types. Avoid Fighting- and Poison-types.
  3. Phase 3: Terapagos is Tera-type Water. Use Electric- or Grass-types. Beware of Earth Power. Avoid Fire-, Ground-, and Rock-types.

After defeating Terapagos, you can catch it. Terapagos has a 100% catch rate, so use any Poké Ball you prefer.
