Follow this walkthrough for Pokémon Scarlet to complete The Way Home, defeat AI Turo and the Guardian of Paradise, and finish the main story.

To continue the final part of the story, called The Way Home, go to Area Zero. At the gate, you will join Arven, Nemona, and Penny. You will then descend into the area.

Note: You can use the map and select a flying point to go back up, or travel back to the area using its flying point.

You must visit four research stations within Area Zero. At each station, you need to disable one of the locks. You will reach these stations as you make your way down.

At the first research station, a dual-type Rock and Poison Pokémon will attack. Use a Ground-, Psychic-, Steel-, or Water-type Pokémon. After winning, enter the station and interact with the central panel to disable the first lock. You can also use the bed to rest and heal your Pokémon.

Note: You can use the warp panel to fast travel back to the gate. Once you discover more research stations, you can also use it to fast travel between them.

At the second research station, a dual-type Ice and Water Pokémon will attack. Use a Fighting- or Electric-type Pokémon. After winning, enter the station and disable the second lock.

At the third research station, a dual-type Ground and Steel Pokémon will attack. Use a Water-, Fighting-, or Ground-type Pokémon. After winning, enter the station and disable the third lock.

You can enter the fourth research station without encountering any Pokémon. Disable the fourth and final lock, then make your way to the Zero Lab at the very bottom of the area. Interact with the panel there, but beware of the dangerous Pokémon inside.

The first dangerous Pokémon is dual-type Ground and Steel, similar to the one at the third research station. The second is dual-type Fighting and Electric; use a Fairy-, Psychic-, or Ground-type against it. The third is dual-type Dark and Flying; use a Fairy-, Electric-, Ice-, or Rock-type against it. After defeating these Pokémon, you can enter the lab.

Boss battle 1

The first boss, AI Turo, does not specialize in one type of Pokémon. He has six Pokémon:

  • Iron Moth (Lv. 66)
  • Iron Bundle (Lv. 66)
  • Iron Hands (Lv. 66)
  • Iron Jugulis (Lv. 66)
  • Iron Thorns (Lv. 66)
  • Iron Valiant (Lv. 67)

Note: The order in which the Pokémon appear may differ from the order described.

Iron Moth is dual-type Fire and Poison, so use Ground-, Rock-, Water-, or Psychic-types. Iron Bundle is dual-type Ice and Water, so use Fighting- or Electric-types. Iron Hands is dual-type Fighting and Electric, so use Fairy-, Psychic-, or Ground-types. Iron Jugulis is dual-type Dark and Flying, so use Fairy-, Electric-, Ice-, or Rock-types. Iron Thorns is dual-type Rock and Electric, so use Fighting-, Grass-, or Ground-types. Iron Valiant is dual-type Fairy and Fighting, so use Poison-, Fairy-, Flying-, or Psychic-types.

Boss battle 2

The second boss, the Paradise Protection Protocol, has one Pokémon: Guardian of Paradise Miraidon (Lv. ??).

This battle is different as your Poké Balls will not work, and the Battle, Pokémon, Bag, and Run options are disabled. Select the Pokémon option and go to your Miraidon (below your regular party Pokémon). Select it and choose
