Follow our detailed walkthrough for Prey's Part 33, covering the 'Abandon Ship' trophy, defeating the Technopath in Talos I Lobby, and the 'Gardening Tips' side quest.
Alright, we're heading up to the roof now. Keep an eye out, you'll find 4x COSMOS FLOWER CUTTINGS and a "Terraforming Mars" magazine up there. Oh, and the bridge we extended earlier? Head up that way to check out Alex's escape pod! You'll also snag a NEUROMOD, the ALEX YU: TRACKING BRACELET, and an EXPIRED PLASMA BAG.
Abandon Ship! (OPTIONAL TROPHY)
This part is for an optional trophy: abandoning our mission to just get off Talos. It's a good idea to do a HARD SAVE right here, as we'll want to reload back to this point later. I'll keep this brief: max out your shotgun and grab at least 20 shells. We're going to rush this. Head down to Crew Quarters, go down, and then enter it properly.
You'll find yourself in a new area with mind-controlled humans and a "Nightmare." This giant Nightmare only shows up if you've used a ton of Neuromods, like I have. Activate Combat Focus and blast it, using health packs as needed. This is all temporary, so just use whatever you've got and don't worry too much about the humans dying.
Head to the back and hack the elevator. Take it up to Alex's bedroom, clearing out any enemies first. Inside his room, lift the GLOBE next to his bed to find the EP101 KEYCARD. (Yeah, it's a bit tricky to find, I had to look it up myself!). Once you have it, head back to his shuttle and use the keycard to leave the station. You'll get a couple of messages, and then right at the loading screen, you'll pop that trophy: the "Abandon Ship" Bronze Trophy for leaving Talos I in Alex's Escape Pod. Congrats, I guess?
Carrying on with the Mission!
Okay, another trophy down. Speaking of which, since we made that save file...
(-NOTE-) You can throw a Recycler Charge at your feet and let it kill you to get the "Intrinsic Value" Bronze Trophy, for, uh... recycling yourself. We could have done this earlier, but hey, another bronze trophy!
For real this time, let's get back to the main mission! Or rather, exploring and some side quests. Let's knock out another side quest first. Head down to the hallway with the two turrets (machine guns) located beneath Alex's office and enter the "Talos I" door. This is to fix the central elevator. Make sure you SAVE here first, of course!
Talos I Lobby
Be ready for a fight when you get here. We need to take down a Technopath, which is the type of enemy that corrupts turrets. We've fought one before, but it just popped up as ??? back then (remember that? Just before we got Neuromod Fabrications...).
Having a fully-loaded shotgun is a lifesaver here. You can totally bum-rush this guy and unload about 7-8 shots into him to kill him (ideally, get a sneak attack with the first shot). Just be aware there are also two corrupted operators in here, so watch out for them. You can Gloo Gun them and then chase the Technopath if you can. The Technopath will shoot electric/EMP charges at you, which really hurt, so try to stay at close range and take him down. He's also weak to EMP, so those charges might come in handy.
Once you defeat him, your "Lift Interference" quest will be complete! Nice, we can finally use the central lift. Go check out the corpse near the elevator – it's "Hendrik DeVries Corpse." Loot him for a TEST TUBE SAMPLE, the HENDRIK DEVRIES' OFFICE KEYCARD, and a MEDKIT. You'll also find the TRANSCRIBE: HENDRIK DEVRIES. It doesn't give us much info. Don't forget to check the nearby trashcan for a LEMON PEEL. That's it for this area, so head back to the Arboretum.
Exploring the Arboretum
Head back down the hallway, take a left, and go up the hill. Hang a left up here, going past the "waterfall," and then take a right at the path split to find a bench. The book "The Starbender Cycle: Book 4: Backstabbed in the Face" is here. Read it (there's a trophy related to this!) and then move to the RIGHT of the bench, through the bushes (to the right of the tree). You'll find a hidden baseball mound with 3x DUCK BEER, 2x BASEBALL GLOVE, and some 2.70x SYNTHETIC MATERIAL. Heh.
From here, follow the outer glass (what a view!) to the left of the baseball area. It'll wrap around to the "Looking Glass Theater" area. There's a body over here with a SILENCED PISTOL next to it. This is "Thomas Tucker." Loot him for a LEMON PEEL, a BANANA PEEL, 7x 9MM BULLETS, and a TYPHON LURE.
This next part is a bit... tricky. Break the screen here to find a MEDKIT behind it, but look up! There should be a Greater Mimic either falling down or about to, depending on your actions. We're going to make a Gloo Gun path upwards. Do so, and you might have to fight that mimic as you get up there!
Up here, you'll find a corpse! It's "Dr. Julien Howard," who's part of a side quest! Loot him for a BURNT CIRCUIT BOARD, an EMP CHARGE, TRANSCRIBE: JULIEN HOWARD, and DR. HOWARD'S GROWTH FORMULA. The cooler nearby has a SUNBURST BANANA PUDDING and CAPTAIN SPREE'S FISH STICKS inside. Here's our updated objective:
o OBJECTIVE (Gardening Tips): Fabricate the growth formula
It almost sounds like we're going to make a TON of food. Heh. Well, head back down and go straight past the bench, following the path. Go right at the sign (following the main path) and look to the left as you go for "Elle Gold's Corpse." Loot her for a BURNT CIRCUIT BOARD and an EMP CHARGE. Now, the rock to her left can be lifted if you have "Leverage II." You can also look behind it for the STORAGE ROOM A2 KEYCARD.
Okay, let's head to the Recycler / Fabricator now and make this formula Dr. Howard is so keen on. It doesn't cost much to fabricate, mostly the green material, but you'll need one of everything. Make it and grab the DR. HOWARD'S GROWTH FORMULA from the machine, which updates our objective:
o OBJECTIVE (Gardening Tips): Place the growth formula into the sprinkler
