    Head forward from where you start and take the stairs on the right. You'll run into some Strogg; take care of them and then proceed through the corridor on the right. You'll need to crouch under some slamming doors – just keep moving.

    Continue down this corridor. You'll encounter another Gladiator and a Gunner. After you deal with them, pull the lever they were guarding. This will lower a bridge, completing half of your secondary objective.

    Now, you'll need to backtrack all the way to the beginning of the level, to the elevator you initially rode down. Press one of the buttons on it to descend further.

    Head through the door that opens and take out the Gunners waiting for you. Look up above them and shoot the red bars on the wall. This will lower a large steel door.

    Search the room thoroughly for any useful items. Once you're ready, head through the newly opened door. Follow the tunnel, and you'll have to fight off a couple of Mutants. Grab the Flak Jacket on your right – it's a good pickup.

    Keep following the tunnel, taking the path to the left. You'll eventually come across a massive drill mechanism. On the other side of this drill, you'll find a lever. Pulling this lever will create a hole in the floor beneath the drill. Drop down into this hole to finish the level.

  • Keep an eye out for secret areas; there are two hidden in this level, though they aren't required to progress.
  • Don't forget to grab the Flak Jacket; it'll give you a much-needed defensive boost.
