Your guide to Resident Evil 2 (1998)'s Laboratory Area 4. Learn how to get the Main Fuse, defeat tough enemies, and find the Power Room Key.
Alright, so you've made it to Laboratory Area 4. It's a bit of a maze in here, and things are about to get hairy with some new threats. Don't worry, I'll walk you through it step-by-step.
Walkthrough
- 1First things first, head out of the train and look for a hole in the wall. Go towards it, and bam! You'll be trapped in Laboratory B1. The main elevator here is busted, so we'll need to find another way out.
- 2Your next stop is the Pump Room. Head there, go down the lift, and take the elevator on the right path.
- 3Get ready, because you're going to run into some Super Lickers. Take them down, then find the activation switch for the elevator and use it.
- 4Now, make your way back to the main elevator.
- 5Next, we're heading to the laboratory's west area. Your goal here is the Fusion room. Once inside, grab the Fuse Case.
- 6Take the Fuse Case back to the machine and insert it. This will give you the Main Fuse.
- 7Now, find the center of the laboratory area and insert the Main Fuse. This powers up the whole place.
- 8Head over to the east area of the laboratory.
- 9You'll need to open a shutter. Once it's up, get ready for a fight with some Humanoid Plants. Use your Flame Rounds to deal with them.
- 10After that, you'll see a small balcony. Climb down the ladder there.
- 11More Super Lickers are waiting for you in the corridor. Clear them out, then proceed to the Monitor Room and then into William's experiment room.
- 12In William's experiment room, grab the Power Room Key.
- 13It's time to head back to Laboratory B1. Once you're there, you'll need to solve a puzzle involving pushing a box. This box will lead you to the Power Room. Head inside and watch the event unfold.
- 14After that, return to Laboratory B4, where Sherry is. You'll get the Master Key from her.
- 15With the Master Key in hand, you can now access the train again and get out of here with Sherry.
Tips
- Those Super Lickers are tough! Make sure you've got plenty of ammo and healing items before you head into areas where they're known to appear. Shotgun blasts to the head are usually effective.
- Don't forget to explore thoroughly. There might be hidden items or useful resources in some of the side rooms you pass through.
- The puzzle in Laboratory B1 to push the box might take a couple of tries. Pay attention to the environment and how the box moves.
